Persistent respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections have been associated with the exacerbation of chronic inflammatory diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This virus infects the respiratory epithelium, leading to chronic inflammation, and induces the release of mucins and the loss of cilia activity, two factors that determine mucus clearance and the increase in sputum volume. These alterations involve reactive oxygen species-dependent mechanisms. The antioxidant N-acetylcysteine (NAC) has proven useful in the management of COPD, reducing symptoms, exacerbations, and accelerated lung function decline. The paper reports the outputs of a research work focused on the segmentation of meshes generated from aerial photogrammetric survey, aiming at the implementation of a database integrated in a web-based Information System developed with 3D-Hop technology, that uses models as the access point to information data. Segmentation is a relevant topic in cultural heritage documentation, since it is the a pre-requisite for the development of systems that connect information data to 3D models. Diplomdarba mērķis bija pārbaudīt kā komēdiju seriāli palīdz pilnveidot vārdu krājumu angļu valodā 8. klasē. Diplomdarba autore uzskata, ka vārdu krājums ir nozīmīgs aspekts valodas apguves procesā un to ir nepieciešams pilnveidot. Turklāt, komēdiju seriāla izmantošana kā mācību materiāla avotu, spēj pilnveidot vārdu krājuma apguvi. Izvēlētā pētījuma metode bija atsevišķa gadījuma pētījums Rīgas 85. vidusskolā. Anketa, stundu plāni, mācību sasniegumu testi un nobeiguma projekts tika izvēlēti kā datu vākšanas metodes. Wang Jiuliang is a Chinese photographer and video artist based in Beijing. Since 2008, he has been focusing on the issue of waste. From 2008 to 2013 he investigated more than 460 landfills around Beijing and made a 76-minute documentary film, Beijing Besieged by Waste, which attracted extensive media attention in China and abroad. Wang Jiulaing won a Gold Award as Outstanding Artist of the Year at the 2009 Lianzhou International Photography Festival.
