Estimating the Best Reference Homography for Planar Mosaics From Videos

This paper proposes a novel strategy to find the best reference homography in mosaics from video sequences. The reference homography globally minimizes the distortions induced on each image frame by the mosaic homography itself. This method is designed for planar mosaics on which a bad choice of the first reference image frame can lead to severe distortions after concatenating several successive homographies. This often happens in the case of underwater mosaics with non-flat seabed and no georeferential information available. International audience; Social question & answer forums offer great learning opportunities, but students need to evaluate the credibility of answers to avoid being misled by untrustworthy sources. This critical evaluation may be beyond the capabilities of students from primary and secondary school. We conducted 2 studies to assess how students from primary, secondary, and undergraduate education perceive and use 2 relevant credibility cues in forums: author's identity and evidence used to support his answer. We study how one particular visual representation, a process diagram, is interpreted and how alternative, even competing, representations are produced verbally. This paper investigates the sorts of risks and uncertainties inherent in implementing an e-learning information systems project in Estonia. The study uses a variation of the Delphi study in eliciting the risk factors or items from experienced top management professionals within the organisation. The main objective of the study is to identify the uncertainties or risks in the implementation of the systems, using the viewpoint of Estonia, which is an emerging economy. Test-Driven Development (TDD) was applied in educational setting right after it became well-known as a key practice of Extreme Programming (XP). Basically, there are many studies reporting positive experiences on TDD applied in different levels of a curriculum. In this paper, we discuss the role of TDD in education through the students' experiences.
