Ferromagnetic kinetic exchange interaction in magnetic insulators
2020
The superexchange theory predicts dominant antiferromagnetic kinetic interaction when the orbitals accommodating magnetic electrons are covalently bonded through diamagnetic bridging atoms/groups. Here we show that explicit consideration of magnetic and (leading) bridging orbitals, together with the electron transfer between the former, reveals a strong ferromagnetic kinetic exchange contribution. First principle calculations show that it is comparable in strength with antiferromagnetic superexchange in a number of magnetic materials with diamagnetic metal bridges. In particular, it is responsible for a very large ferromagnetic coupling ($-10$ meV) between the iron ions in a Fe$^{3+}$-Co$^{…
Zabezpieczenie na nieruchomości w postępowaniu karnym jako wyraz równorzędności reguł interpretacji w praktyce orzeczniczej sądu karnego
2021
Artykuł poddaje analizie instytucję zabezpieczenia na nieruchomości w postępowaniu karnym w kontekście połączenia w niej działania organów postępowania karnego w dwóch różnych procedurach i w dwóch różnych pozycjach procesowych. Zabezpieczenie następuje w zakresie tytułu wykonawczego w postaci stosownego postanowienia i wynika z postępowania karnego w fazie in personam. Tytuł wykonawczy uzyskany w procedurze karnej stanowi podstawę wpisu hipoteki przymusowej według regulacji procedury cywilnej do księgi wieczystej. Artykuł ma na celu przedstawienie powyższej problematyki w kontekście rozkładu ciężaru argumentacyjnego poszczególnych uczestników dyskursu wskazanej sytuacji procesowej, a także…
Wisdom in Rocks : A Conversation with Zhan Wang
2018
The Chinese artist Zhan Wang has been widely noted for his conceptual sculptural works. Through simulating rocks and rock-formation processes by using modern technology and materials, he interrogates the dichotomies between humanity and nature, humanity and technology, modernity and tradition, and development and preservation. In this conversation, Zhan reviewed the conception and making of his works that particularly dealing with rocks. He also explained his views on a series of issues such as ecological awareness, the environmental crisis, the social engagement of art and the blurring of boundaries between art and other fields.
Permian-Triassic Rifting Stage
2019
International audience; The Permian-Triassic rifting represents the first of the two Mesozoic rifting stages recorded in the Iberian Peninsula. Its first phases of development started during the Early Permian, and were linked to the beginning of the break-up of Pangea, the large, unique and rheologically unstable supercontinent that mainly resulted from the collision of Gondwana and Laurussia. This chapter analyzes this first rifting stage in Iberia in two separate phases, an initial or tectonic phase, and a later mature phase. This analysis focuses on the main Permian-Triassic basins of the Iberian Peninsula: the Pyrenean, Iberian, Catalan, Ebro and Betic basins, as well as the basins loca…
Contribution à la connaissance de l'implantation Burgonde en Gaule au Ve siècle : à propos de découvertes récentes de fibules zoomorphes
2011
The recent discovery of three horse shaped fibulae – a pair with a cavalryman from Ecrille in the Jura and a fibula from the La Chambre sector in Savoie as well as a bird shaped fibula from Charpey in the Drome, all dating from the second half of the 5th century or around 500 AD, provide valuable references in the context of the Burgundian settlement in the Centre-East and the South-East of Gaul. The map is still incomplete notably for the area to the south of Lyon, precisely where La Chambre and Charpey are located. Relating to the Ecrille discovery, it provides new information in relation to this defended site underlining its importance.

Writing and Misleading on Screen: Atonement (Ian McEwan/Joe Wright)
2008
How does the film adaptation of Atonement by Joe Wright find original ways to adapt what lies at the core of the novel by Ian McEwan—the ins and outs of writing? The film endeavours to transfer, cinematically or not, the metafictional and definitely postmodern dimensions in McEwan's story. Wright first works on point of view, sticking to young Briony's in the first part and elaborating on her re-vision and revisiting of events the meaning of which she thinks she can grasp. But seeing is constantly equated with writing in the novel, and Wright's film convincingly plays around this equation. “Writing on screen” it does indeed, either thematically—with the definitions and aims of writing accor…
