Pasaules Dabas fonda (World Wildlife Fund) sociālo reklāmas kampaņu vizuālo statisko reklāmu semiotiskā un auditorijas analīze (2010-2014)

Bakalaura darba „„Pasaules Dabas fonda” (World Wildlife Fund) sociālo reklāmas kampaņu vizuālo statisko reklāmu semiotiskā un auditorijas analīze (2010 – 2014)” ietvaros tiek pētītas semiotiskās iezīmes šīs organizācijas reklāmās, kā arī auditorijas attieksme pret tām. Darba pētījuma mērķis – noskaidrot reklāmu vēstījumu ietekmējošos semiotiskos faktorus. Darbā ir apskatītas teorijas par sociālo mārketingu, reklāmu, vizuālo komunikāciju. Empīriskajā daļā ir veikta kontentanalīze un semiotiskā analīze par 88 vizuālajām statiskajām reklāmām, kā arī auditorijas aptauja. Rezultātā sniegtas atbildes uz pētnieciskajiem jautājumiem un izdarīti secinājumi par pētījuma rezultātiem.

In this paper we revisit a taxonomy of client-side IoT software architectures that we presented a few years ago. We note that the emergence of inexpensive AI/ML hardware and new communication technologies are broadening the architectural options for IoT devices even further. These options can have a significant impact on the overall end-to-end architecture and topology of IoT systems, e.g., in determining how much computation can be performed on the edge of the network. We study the implications of the IoT device architecture choices in light of the new observations, as well as make some new predictions about future directions. Effects of Rule Changes on Game-Related Statistics in Men's Water Polo Matches

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of rule changes on game-related statistics in men's water polo matches. A total of 856 men's matches played in all Olympic Games and World Championship since 1936 was analysed. The game-related statistics considered were: total goals, winners' goals, losers' goals, goals per minute, goals difference, relationship difference goals and total goals, and relationship difference goals and winners' goals. The rule changes were grouped by structural (game and period) and functional changes (possession time, exclusion time, timing, minimum distance to take a direct shot). This paper investigates how a p2p television platform can take advantage of the presence of frequent channel viewers to grant them a more satisfying service than to less regular spectators. The idea we explore is to learn beforehand about the users' interests, in order to cluster them in groups that display different behaviors; then, the neighborhood creation strategy and video chunk scheduling algorithm of the overlay is altered, with the aim of serving frequent spectators in a privileged manner, providing them with a faster access to the selected channel without overly penalizing less habitual customers. Max Weber analyzed politics from the perspective of Chancen for actors, and he never separated world politics from domestic politics. The “Westphalian balance” between great European powers shaped Weber’s views on international polity. However, he also regarded Western individualism, human rights, and parliamentary democracy as necessary qualities to possess in order to be recognized as a great power. This vision provided the basis for his wartime critique of the expansionist tendencies in German foreign policy and for his demand for the parliamentarization of German politics.
