Resumen basado en el de la publicación Resumen en inglés Se muestra el importante papel de uno de los instrumentos más comunes, el péndulo, en la construcción del paradigma newtoniano. Del análisis de algunas aplicaciones interesantes llevadas a cabo por los mejores científicos de ese tiempo, se concluye que el uso apropiado del péndulo en el aula puede ser una manera fácil de introducir la evolución histórica y epistemológica de conceptos físicos básicos. Aikaisempi tutkimus (Utriainen 2004) ja myöhempi oppimistulosten tarkastelu paljastivat puutteita, jotka koskivat kappaleen liiketilan ja kappaleen vuorovaikutusten välisen yhteyden ymmärrystä. Voimakuvion laadinta ja liikeyhtälön kirjoittaminen tuottivat vaikeuksia. Pakollisella fysiikan kurssilla opiskelijat muodostavat käsityksen, joka koskee fysiikkaa oppiaineena ja sen opiskelua. Saaduilla kokemuksilla voi olla merkitystä fysiikan syventäviin kursseihin kohdistuviin odotuksiin. Summary: The rheological behavior of polyethylenes ismainly dominated by the molecular weight, the molecularweight distribution and by the type, the amount and thedistribution of the chain branches. In this work a linearmetallocenecatalyzedpolyethylene(m-PE),abranchedme-tallocene catalyzed polyethylene (m-bPE), a conventionallinear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) and a low densitypolyethylene (LDPE) have been investigated in order tocompare their rheological behavior in shear and in elonga-tional flow. Duality-invariant dispersion relations for electromagnetic and gravitational waves at Planck scales

In this paper we explore some mathematical aspects of a duality-invariant Einstein-Planck relation on electromagnetic waves and gravitational waves at a Planckian scale. We explore a generalized version of Maxwell's equations leading to the proposed duality-invariant dispersion relation for electromagnetic waves. We also study the analogous aspects of duality in a post-Newtonian description of gravitational waves.

Public Administration is in an era of change. This paper studies one under-researched part of public administration, the executive arms of International Governmental Organizations (IGOs). These are referred to as International Executives (IEs) and provide a conceptual mapping and empirical illustrations of three important dynamics of IEs – intergovernmental, supranational and transgovernmental dynamics. The paper offers a middle-range organization theory perspective that suggests five independent variables that affect the behavior and roles of IE civil servants. The subject of this essay-based dissertation is Hume’s natural philosophy. The dissertation consists of four separate essays and an introduction. These essays do not only treat Hume’s views on the topic of natural philosophy, but his views are placed into a broader context of history of philosophy and science, physics in particular. The introductory section outlines the historical context, shows how the individual essays are connected, expounds what kind of research methodology has been used, and encapsulates the research contributions of the essays. Este trabajo destaca la importancia de una presentación coherente y actualizada de la dinámica clásica como un factor clave para su aprendizaje. La primera parte de este trabajo contiene un análisis histórico de los aspectos críticos de las leyes de la dinámica clásica que muestra sus ambigüedades y sus posibles interpretaciones. A continuación, se analizan las alternativas de enseñanza en algunos libros de texto haciendo especial énfasis en sus características fundamentales. Como resultado, se concluye que la presentación de la dinámica clásica, tal como se hace actualmente, muestra deficiencias tanto de coherencia como de actualización, lo que sugiere la necesidad de una revisión general …
