The research focuses on weapons coming from the extra-urban sanctuary of contrada Mango in Segesta, investigated between the fifties and sixties of the 20th century. The study illustrates the types and chronology of the »indigenous« and Greek weapons (mainly defensive) attested in the sanctuary, and clarifies and discusses the location of the finds (along the south, north and east peribolos walls). Finally, the research tries to understand the function and role of the weapons in the sacred area. Mini-drones swarms and their potential in conflict situations

Drones are currently used for a wide range of operations, such as border surveillance, general surveillance, reconnaissance, transport, aerial photography, traffic control, earth observation, communications, broadcasting, and armed attacks. This paper examines the swarming and associated abilities to overwhelm a combatant as well as bring extra functionality by means of extra sensors spread throughout the swarm. The strategy of stealth is becoming increasingly less effective. Combatants can not only sense them, but can also successfully destroy them (although this cannot be said for nano-drones). For mini-drones, objectives can be enhanced by the strategy of overwhelming. peerReviewed

A rescue excavation in 2003 resulted in the discovery of a building on piles, constructed between two sections of ditch, of which the one on the north side has an entrance. The chronological data of the building and two ditches match and demonstrate the existence of cults during La Tène C2. Evidence of the cults is given by a small quantity of deliberately mutilated weapons, as has been found in other La Tène sanctuaries. Dating the creation of the enclosure is problematicaln but it probably derives from La Tène C1. Why has it not yet been possible to bring the nuclear weapons regime to an end and why are prospects about a nuclear weapon free future so bleak? In this thesis, I analyze both the achievements and failures concerning the global governance of nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament. In the first chapter, I outline key terms and concepts as well as the historical backgrounds, which are essential for understanding the proliferation of nuclear weapons and the global governance of nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament.
