Graduate employment and the returns to higher education in Africa

Importantly, one of our methods adjusts for the effect of higher education on the rate of joblessness, which is substantial in most African countries, and particularly for women. Our results confirm that Mincerian coefficients cannot be interpreted as a true rate of return, and that the latter (even after taking into account the employment effect) is considerably lower than what has previously been suggested in the literature (less than half). Este artículo analiza cómo ha afectado la pandemia de COVID-19 a los festivales de cine de la Comunitat Valenciana en un contexto de evolución forzada de este sector cultural a escala global. Para ello, se ha llevado a cabo, en primer lugar, un trabajo cuantitativo basado en una encuesta telemática enviada a la totalidad de festivales censados en el territorio valenciano. We study the endogenous formation of networks between manufacturers of differentiated goods and multi-product retailers who interact in a successive duopoly. Joint consent is needed to establish and/or maintain a costly link between a manufacturer and a retailer. However, it is known that DV intervention and prevention work is often lacking in coordination and continuity.
