The digital reconstruction of architectural projects starting from archive sources is a well established disciplinary application useful for the study and analysis of architecture and its relations with the historical context as well as for the representation of volumes and spaces not visible in the original documents. Using tablets as tools for learner-generated drawings in the context of teaching the kinetic theory of gases

Even though research suggests that the use of drawings could be an important part of learning science, learnergenerated drawings have not received much attention in physics classrooms. This article presents a method for recording students’ drawings and group discussions using tablets. Compared to pen and paper, tablets offer unique benefits, which include the recording of the whole drawing process and of the discussion associated with the drawing. A study, which investigated the use of drawings and the need for guidance among Finnish upper secondary school students, is presented alongside ideas for teachers on how to see drawing in a new light. peerReviewed

The two species of the genus Pactola Pascoe known from New Caledonia, P. convexa (Montrouzier) and P. setacea (Montrouzier), are redescribed and two new species (P. magna sp. n. and P. proxima sp. n.) are described. Pactola kanalensis (Perroud) is a new junior synonym of P. setacea (Montrouzier). A neotype of Pactola setacea (Montrouzier) and lectotypes of Pactola convexa (Montrouzier) and Pactola kanalensis (Perroud) are designated. Pactola nigra Hudson is considered conspecific with Pactola variabilis Pascoe but formal synonymy requires further study. The competition for the Palazzo di Giustizia in Rome takes place in four phases that develop between 1884 and 1887. The project of the third competition (1886-1887), drawn up by Ernesto Basile (Palermo 1857-1932), reveals a great maturity design that transforms the complex functional program into a rigorous neo-Renaissance style building.
