The working partner in family enterprise : European and national issues

The essay focuses on the discipline of the work done by one partner in the company of the other in cross-border couples and on the problems involved in this case. More specifically the focus is on the hermeneutical problems that arise both at the level of European legislation and at the level of Italian national discipline which is applicable according to European conflict criteria, showing the ambiguities and wide areas of shadow left uncovered by the latter.

Se discute sobre la conveniencia de incluir la causa en la carta, así como los criterios de selección del trabajador afectado. La cuestión tiene una especial incidencia sobre un colectivo concreto: las trabajadoras embarazadas.

En los últimos años se ha detectado un aumento en los niños diagnosticados con Trastornos Generalizados del Desarrollo (TGD) y Daño Cerebral (DC). Al mismo tiempo la formación e información por parte de los profesionales que intervienen con estos niños también es mayor por lo que el Departamento de Salud de Manises creó en mayo del 2012 la primera Unidad de Neurorrehabilitación Infantil integrada en un hospital público valenciano especializada en estos casos. Objective: Despite the need for information in the area of migration and health, the available data are sparse. We describe the field work in a cross-sectional study on the health of immigrant workers in Spain. Method: A convenience sample of workers from Colombia, Ecuador, Morocco and Rumania in four cities was targeted, using a block-walking approach. The outcome rates of the American Association of Public Opinion Research were estimated. Results: Of 6,504 persons approached, 71.4% were eligible contacts. Ionising radiation, with the contribution of telomere shortening, induces DNA double-strand breaks that result in chromosome end fusion, nucleoplasmic bridges (NPBs) and chromosome aberrations (ChAbs) as well as dicentric chromosomes. In order to investigate the chromosomal damage induced by occupational ionising radiation at low exposure levels, and to find early markers of health hazard, peripheral lymphocytes of occupationally exposed hospital workers were cytogenetically analysed.
