Robust L1 fixed-order filtering for switched LPV systems with parameter-dependent delays

Abstract This paper is concerned with the L1 fixed-order filtering problem for a class of switched linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems in which the system matrices and the time delays are dependent on the real-time measured parameters. The authors׳ attention is concentrated on designing the fixed-order filter that guarantees the filtering error system to be exponentially stable and to satisfy a prescribed L1 disturbance attenuation level with respect to all amplitude-bounded disturbances. On stability and stabilization of singular uncertain Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems

This paper deals with the problem of robust stability and robust stabilization for a class of continuous-time singular Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems. Sufficient conditions on stability and stabilization are proposed in terms of strict LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality) for uncertain T-S fuzzy models. In order to reduce the conservatism of results developed using quadratic method, an approach based on non-quadratic Lyapunov functions and S-procedure is proposed. Fuzzy/Kalman Hierarchical Horizontal Motion Control of Underactuated ROVs.

A new closed loop fuzzy motion control system including on-line Kalman's filter (KF) for the two dimensional motion of underactuated and underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) is presented. Since the sway force is unactuated, new continuous and discrete time models are developed using a polar transformation. A new hierarchical control architecture is developed, where the high level fuzzy guidance controller generates the surge speed and the yaw rate needed to achieve the objective of planar motion, while the low level controller gives the thruster surge force and the yaw torque control signals. Abstract Semiglobal practical integral input-to-state stability (SP-iISS) for a feedback interconnection of two discrete-time subsystems is given. We construct a Lyapunov function from the sum of nonlinearly-weighted Lyapunov functions of individual subsystems. In particular, we consider two main cases. A differential equation approach to implicit sweeping processes

International audience; In this paper, we study an implicit version of the sweeping process. Based on methods of convex analysis, we prove the equivalence of the implicit sweeping process with a differential equation, which enables us to show the existence and uniqueness of the solution to the implicit sweeping process in a very general framework. Moreover, this equivalence allows us to give a characterization of nonsmooth Lyapunov pairs and invariance for implicit sweeping processes. The results of the paper are illustrated with two applications to quasistatic evolution variational inequalities and electrical circuits.

Design and Low-Cost Implementation of an Optimally Robust Reduced-Order Rotor Flux Observer for Induction Motor Control

The aim of this paper is to design and analyze reduced-order observers of the rotor flux of induction motors. The design is carried out in two steps. In the first step, a boundary of the stability region of the observation error is obtained corresponding to a chosen Lyapunov function. In the second step, the boundary is translated into a performance index that is minimized with respect to stator and rotor resistance variations and differences of voltages supplying the motor and those supplying the observer in order to obtain the largest stability region. Observer-based H∞ control on stochastic nonlinear systems with time-delay and actuator nonlinearity

Abstract In this paper, an observer-based H ∞ controller is designed for a class of extended Markov jump systems subject to time-delay and actuator saturation nonlinearity. Gradient linearization procedure is employed to describe such nonlinear systems by several linear Markov jump systems. Next, a mode-dependent Lyapunov function is constructed for these linear systems, and a sufficient condition is derived to make them stochastically stable, and then, a continuous gain-scheduled approach is applied to design a continuous nonlinear observer-based controller on the entire extended nonlinear jump system. A simulation example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of developed techniques.

Finite-time boundedness for uncertain discrete neural networks with time-delays and Markovian jumps

This paper is concerned with stochastic finite-time boundedness analysis for a class of uncertain discrete-time neural networks with Markovian jump parameters and time-delays. The concepts of stochastic finite-time stability and stochastic finite-time boundedness are first given for neural networks. Then, applying the Lyapunov approach and the linear matrix inequality technique, sufficient criteria on stochastic finite-time boundedness are provided for the class of nominal or uncertain discrete-time neural networks with Markovian jump parameters and time-delays. Robust H∞ synchronization of a hyper-chaotic system with disturbance input

Abstract This paper concerns the robust control problems on the synchronization of a hyper-chaotic system with disturbance input. Using an appropriate Lyapunov function, we design the multi-dimensional and the single-dimensional robust H ∞ synchronization controllers in terms of linear matrix inequalities for the application in practical engineering. Corresponding theoretical derivations are given subsequently. Finally, some numerical simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed techniques.

By constructing a series of Lyapunov functions, novel H1 robust syn- chronization controllers are designed, whose control regulation possess the characteristic of simpleness and explicitness. Finally, numerical simulations are provided to demonstrate the e ectiveness of the proposed techniques.
