Every year before Christmas, the weekly newspaper “Gość Niedzielny” prepares materials to be used by parish priests in their work with children during Advent (during rorate missa). Each year they oscillate around one topic. One of the fixed components of the whole set that parishes receive is the so-called Rorate song, which is delivered in musical notation and as recorded music material. The authors and performers are artists associated with the scene of CCM in Poland. These materials have repeatedly aroused controversy. Parish priests emphasise their attractiveness, church musicians question their liturgicality. The paper analyses this phenomenon.

Type I keratin cDNAs from the rainbow trout: independent radiation of keratins in fish

Five different type I keratins from a teleost fish, the rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss, have been sequenced by cDNA cloning and identified at the protein level by peptide mass mapping using MALDI-MS. This showed that the entire range of type I keratins detected biochemically in this fish has now been sequenced. Three of the keratins are expressed in the epidermis (subtype Ie), whereas the other two occur in simple epithelia and mesenchymal cells (subtype Is). Among the Is keratins is an ortholog of human K18; the second Is polypeptide is clearly distinct from K18. Abstract Study aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate if young female skiers meet their energy and macronutrient requirements, and how energy availability (EA) and macronutrient intake affects their performance during an intensive training camp. Material and methods: 19 female cross-country skiers (age 16.7 ± 0.7) filled in 48-hour food and training logs during a 5-day training camp.
