The Role of Individual- and Macro-Level Social Determinants on Young Adolescents’ Psychosomatic Complaints

This study examines the social determinants of psychosomatic complaints in young adolescents. Using data from the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study, psychosomatic complaints are studied in 98,773 adolescents (11- and 13-year-olds; 48% 11-year-olds, 52% 13-year-olds; 52% females, 48% males) from 34 European countries. Individual-level determinants, including family-, peer- and school-related factors as well as country-level determinants (Human Development Index [HDI]) are considered. Test-retest reliability of adolescents' self-reported physical activity item in two consecutive surveys.

Background National monitoring of school-aged physical activity (PA) behaviours is necessary to inform policy makers. The Finnish School-aged Physical Activity (FSPA – LIITU in Finnish) is a physical activity monitoring study, collecting data from young adolescents aged 11 to 15 years through a nationally representative sample. This study included a single self-reported item question on moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity (MVPA) from the preceding seven days. Šis diplomdarbs sniedz teorētisku pamatojumu un piedāvā praktiskus padomus drāmas tehnikas izmantošanai angļu valodas stundās pamatskolā. Uzsvars tika likts uz gramatikas kompetences attīstību. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, vai ir iespējama drāmas elementu izmantošana pamatskolas angļu valodas stundās un noskaidrot vai tā attīsta izglītojamo gramatikas kompetenci. Prakses laikā tika veikta izpēte, izmantojot gadījuma pētījumu, kā galveno pētījumu metodi. Darbā tika izmantotas tādas datu vākšanas metodes kā novērojumi, anketas un gala testa analīze. The Mediating Role of Self-Esteem in the Relationship between Mother’s Attachment Style and Offspring’s Depression

The present study aimed to investigate the mediating role of the offspring’s self-esteem in the association between the mother’s attachment style and the depressive symptoms of a sample of early adolescents. The participants included 484 students, aged 11 to 15 ( M age = 12.24, SD = .91) and their mothers, ranged in age between 30 and 69 years ( M age = 43.82, SD = 5.13). The students completed the Multidimensional Self-Concept Scale and the Self‐administered Psychiatric Scales for adolescents - Depression. Mothers completed the Attachment Style Questionnaire.
