Abstract A long-term test at a laboratory scale with a closed system (a coral reef aquarium) has been carried out to study the potentialities of photocatalytic ozonation and photocatalysis for the removal of noxious organic compounds in recirculating systems (aquaria and recirculating aquaculture systems) working with a minimum make up of new water. Attention has been focused not only on the depuration capabilities but also on possible negative phenomena, some of which could become apparent only at long times. Abstract Oxalate anion has been oxidized in aqueous alkaline solution by using ozonation and photocatalysis in the presence of TiO 2 . A batch annular reactor has been used for carrying out reactivity runs in the presence of air/ozone, air/ozone/near UV irradiation, air/ozone/TiO 2 , air/near UV-irradiated TiO 2 and air/ozone/near UV-irradiated TiO 2 . Laima slimība ir visizplatītākā ar vektoriem pārnēsātā slimība Amerikas Savienotajās Valstīs. Neraugoties uz tās plašo izplatību un smagajiem slimības simptomiem, pret to vēl aizvien nav pieejama vakcīna. Darba mērķis bija ekspresēt Laima slimības izraisītājas, baktērijas (Borrelia burgdorferi), ar membrānu saistīto lipoproteīnu BBP28 un noteikt tā struktūru. Izmantojot KMR datus, tika aprēķinātas divas BBP28 proteīna struktūras - viena pilna garuma un otra saīsinātai proteīna sekvencei, kas nesatur nestrukturēto 27 aa garo N gala segmentu. The HVSR method applied to seismic noise can be a very useful technique to map the site effects of the territory, to identify the thickness of the soft covering and so the depth of the seismic bedrock. The case of the urban area of Oliveri is presented. Because of its high seismic hazard this area has been subject of first level seismic microzonation. The town lies on a large coastal plain made of mixed fluvial/marine sediments, overlapping a deformed substrate.
