Fragments of peer review: A quantitative analysis of the literature (1969-2015)

This paper examines research on peer review between 1969 and 2015 by looking at records indexed from the Scopus database. Although it is often argued that peer review has been poorly investigated, we found that the number of publications in this field doubled from 2005. A half of this work was indexed as research articles, a third as editorial notes and literature reviews and the rest were book chapters or letters. We identified the most prolific and influential scholars, the most cited publications and the most important journals in the field. Word-fragment completion is a frequently used test in implicit memory research. A database of 196 Spanish fragments was recently published (Dasi, Soler, & Ruiz, 2004) in which the fragments were described for indices, such as difficulty, familiarity, frequency, number of meanings, and so on (www.psychonomic.org/archive). In this work, a new index, thepriming index, is described for the same 196 fragments. M.TaqI is a DNA methyltransferase from Thermus aquaticus that catalyzes the transfer of a methyl group from S-adenosyl-l-methionine to the N6 position of an adenine, a process described only in prokaryotes. We have used full atomistic classical molecular dynamics simulations to explore the protein–SAM–DNA ternary complex where the target adenine is flipped out into the active site. Key protein–DNA interactions established by the target adenine in the active site are described in detail. The person who shapes children’s attitudes towards the given subject and their manners of functioning within the mathematical space is the teacher of early education. Therefore, the latter should display a high standard of mathematical culture, as well as hold mathematical competences on a suitable level. Abstracting and concretizing are among the most important cognitive processes which are indispensable to form and develop mathematical notions. The paper is an attempt at answering the question whether prospective teachers of integrated education possess this vital-from the point of view of didactics-skill.
