20th-century Baltic drama: comparative paradigms

The paper pays attention to the issues of commensurability in the development of 20th-century Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian literatures. It focuses upon thematic and aesthetic patterns of Baltic drama during this time period which is further subdivided into two parts, the first and the second half of the 20th century. The discussion about the genesis of Baltic drama during the late 19th, early 20th century is followed by an analysis of the impact of the nation states of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania upon the institutionalization and development of drama and theatre during the 1920s and 1930s. Truth, Negation and Meaning

‘True’ and ‘False’ are defined through a linguistic rule requiring the negation operator. This is the elaboration of an idea proffered for the first time by the Stoics on the basis of some remarks by Aristotle and then in modern times by Frege and Wittgenstein. Another thesis of this essay is the following: the true/false rule is a sort of UR-Regel underlying all linguistic practices (including prayers and commands) and all human cultures. Reinterpreting the notion of Spielraum put forward by Wittgenstein in 4.463 of the Tractatus, I will present an implicational pragmatic theory of a true proposition. Jokes and reductio ad absurdum are explained as examples of Spielraum.

Con la lectura de Esperando a Godot (1953) y Fin de partida (1957) a traves del concepto freudiano de la melancolia, el presente articulo pretende demostrar a partir de que mecanismos el teatro de Beckett queda legitimado. International audience; Il est une vérité que l’on pense devoir admettre : Beckett fait de l’absurde. On attend Godot, il ne viendra jamais, et le théâtre de Beckett est donc la représentation parfaite de cette existence sans but dont nous fûmes affligés à la naissance. Quant à Fin de partie... on finira donc tous dans des poubelles, à se hurler des vérités désagréables. Ce qui est toujours mieux que se faire enterrer dans le sable d’Oh les beaux jours. Nous voudrions ici montrer que Beckett est drôle ! Rions un peu, donc, en attendant la mort !

Darbā tiek aplūkotas tulkošanas īpatnības bērnu literatūras jomā, pamatojoties uz D. Harmsa darbu tulkojumiem latviešu valodā. Praktiskajā daļā tiek analizēti piemēri no oriģinālajiem un tulkotajiem darbiem, kā arī tiek analizēti bērnu poētisko tekstu uzbūves principi. Īpaša uzmanība darbā tiek veltīta bērnu literatūras poētiskā teksta tulkošanas īpatnībām. Autors balsta analīzi uz bērnu avangarda literatūras sarežģītās valodas mūsdienu tulkojumiem. Šis darbs var ieinteresēt filologus, tulkus, kā arī citus ieinteresētos lasītājus.

Pasila (Filmiteollisuus Fine Mediastation Oy tuotantokaudet 1.–2. vuosina 2007–2009 ja Yellow Film & TV tuotantokaudet 3.–6. vuosina 2011–2013) päättyi kuuden tuotantokauden jälkeen vuonna 2013 suosionsa huipulle. Sarjan nauttimasta innostuksesta kertoo jo se, että ohjaaja-käsikirjoittaja Atte Järvisen lopetuspäätöksestä huolimatta, YLE jatkoi sarjaa uuden tekijätiimin voimalla Pasila 2.5 - The Spin-off -version muodossa.
