Die kolorimetrische bestimmung höhermolekularer phenol-formaldehyd-kondensate in dimethylformamid-methanol-lösung mit FeCl3
1961

Polycondensed nitrogen heterocycles. Part25. Aminopyrrolo[1,2-f]-phenanthridines by decomposition of 2-(3-azidophenyl)-1-arylpyrroles
1994
Acid catalyzed decomposition of the azido derivatives 4a-c gave rise to amino-hydroxy-phenylpyrroles of type 7 and 8 upon hydrolysis of the intermediate aryl nitrenium ions, together with the hydrogen abstraction compounds of type 3. The aminopyrrolo[1,2-f]phenanthridines 10, 11, and 12 were obtained by treatment with TFMSA of the azide 4d in which the ring being attacked was made more nucleophilic by the introduction of the methoxy group.
Influence of Reactant Polarity on the Course of the Inverse-Electron-Demand Diels−Alder Reaction. A DFT Study of Regio- and Stereoselectivity, Presen…
1999
The molecular mechanisms for the inverse-electron-demand Diels−Alder reactions between nitroethene and three substituted ethenes (propene, methyl vinyl ether, and dimethylvinylamine) to give the corresponding nitroso cycloadducts have been characterized with density functional theory methods using the B3LYP/6-31G* calculational level. On the basis of stability arguments and molecular orbital analysis relative rates, regioselectivity, and stereoselectivity, the presence of Lewis acid catalyst modeled by the BH3 system and the inclusion of solvent effects as a function of the nature of substituent in the dienophile fragment are analyzed and discussed. The ortho attack mode presents transition…

Interplay of acidity and ionic liquid structure on the outcome of a heterocyclic rearrangement reaction
2021
The study of suitable probe reactions is a powerful tool to investigate the properties of nonconventional solvents such ionic liquids (ILs). In particular, we studied the acid-catalyzed mononuclear rearrangement of heterocycles (MHR) of the Z-phenylhydrazone of 5-amino-3-benzoyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole into the relevant 1,2,3-triazole, in solution of ILs by means of kinetic measurements. We chose as solvents six ILs differing both in the cation and anion, in the presence of five carboxylic and sulfonic acids as catalysts. For a useful comparison, the reaction was also performed in 1,4-dioxane and methanol. In general, the reaction occurs faster in ILs, compared to conventional solvents, according …
Synthesis of Polycyclic Indolines utilizing a reduction/cyclization cascade reaction
2021
Subsequent reduction and dearomatizing cyclization reactions open up an entry into the synthesis of novel N-fused polycyclic indolines. The dearomatizing cyclization as key step of the sequence proceeds well with Cu(OTf)2 or TfOH as catalyst. At elevated temperature reduction of nitro-substituted precursors with iron under acidic conditions affords a broad variety of polycyclic indolines directly in a two-step cascade reaction in good to excellent yields. Using the developed protocol, the alkaloids Tryptanthrin and Phaitanthrin C have been prepared. peerReviewed
Simultaneous production of furfural and levulinic acid from pine sawdust via acid-catalysed mechanical depolymerization and microwave irradiation
2019
Abstract In this work pine sawdust was converted into levulinic acid (LA) and furfural. Sawdust was first pre-treated with sulfuric acid-catalysed mechanical depolymerization. The conversion reactions were then performed with microwave heating at 180 °C. To enhance the furfural yield and the efficient separation of furfural and LA, a biphasic water-toluene reaction system was used. The effect of an additional catalyst, AlCl3, on the yield of LA and furfural was also studied. According to the results the pre-treatment method enhanced the yields of LA. In addition, due to the microwave heating the reaction times were short. Additional AlCl3 catalyst enhanced the LA yield, however excellent fu…
