Detection of Escherichia coli strains producing cytotoxic necrotizing factor type two (CNF2) by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay

Sheep and rabbit antisera were produced against lysates of E. coli strain 711 (pVir). This K-12 strain carries the Vir plasmid which codes for Cytotoxic Necrotizing Factor type 2 (CNF2). Immunoglobulin G (IgG) fractions of both immune sera were subsequently purified by a two-step precipitation method. To increase the specificity for CNF2, the sheep IgG preparation was extensively adsorbed against both a sonicated extract of isogenic K-12 strain 711 and intact phenol-treated cells of vaccine strain 711 (pVir). This research is as part of current works about transition plans for students, specially medical students in France. It analyses how students make training choices as they can be given vocational guidance or not. Effects of transition programme are examined from a new point of view since we also consider results when this program doesn’t exist anymore. We can point out persistence and streams choices as main outcomes of the programme. In doing so, we highlight institutional factors in academic paths.

The widening of the motorway network in France, during the nineties, gives the opportunity to analyze the relationships between accessibility and tourism. The A 39 skirts the foothills of the Jura and improve its accessibility although it does not penetrate into the mountains. From this example, we wished to evaluate the impact of such an infrastructure on the tourism activity in the Jura. International audience; Les territoires sont aujourd'hui sur le devant de la scène, pressés de fournir des solutions de développement socio-économique, ou une image cohérente des lieux qu'ils englobent. On assiste à une forte consommation du concept, tout est territoire ; et des concepts qui recouvrent d'autres réalités glissent imperceptiblement vers cette boîte noire qui représente tout et rien à la fois. Visitons le concept sous l'angle de la systémique afin de produire une définition opérationnelle qui permette de resituer le territoire vis-à-vis de l'espace géographique. Le territoire défini se trouve ainsi replacé au cœur de la complexité.
