This article is an attempt to detail which logistical, economic and human implications had the itinerancy of the medieval monarchy. For this reason, the paper focuses on the characteristics of the itinerancy of Eleanor of Sicily, third wife of Pedro the Ceremonious and queen of the Crown of Aragon between 1349 and 1375. Through the analysis of her documentation, from chancery and treasury resources, it has been possible to establish an itinerary of the queen for three years, from 1354 to 1357. The analysis of this itinerary allows us to see the confluence of the royal couple entourages and the consequences of the beginning of the Dos Pedros war. The aim of this article is to provide an initial survey about the relationship between food habits and health in a Mediterranean city during the Late Middle Ages, by comparing medical treatises, gastronomic recipes and the archival sources that tell us about the actual expenses in food. Through this comparison, and by using accounting records of aristocratic houses, merchant enterprises, convents and hospitals, we can observe the dietary guidelines that were applied, and their concordance with the galenic principles of University medicine. ABSTRACT: This study analyzes the meaning of the impresa or device of the pomegranates, with the motto « Agro dulce », utilized by Henry IV (1425-1474), of the House of Trastamara, King of Castile from 1454 until his death. By means of a review of vestiges that remain of the device, especially in architectonic elements, I postulate that the pomegranate may have been used as the family impresa of the House of Trastamara and their descendants. This, it seems, can be deduced from the pictura of the device in several personal imprese of relatives who lived in the sixteenth century. Don Enrique de Aragón (c. 1384-1434) resulta una de las figuras más influyentes en el período del Humanismo peninsular. Su primera creación –Los doze trabajos de Hércules– constituye la primera interpretación mitológica del prerrenacimiento hispánico, al tiempo que constituye uno de los testimonios romances más antiguos del tópico de las armas y de las letras. Este artículo pretende caracterizar desde el punto de vista filológico sus rasgos de estilo más representativos, así como iniciar posibilidades re-novadas de estudio, centradas en la Fraseología hispánica medieval.
