Tämä on se mielikuva, joka usein herää mainittaessa termi amerintiaani, intiaani tai amerikan intiaani. Tässä tutkimuksessa pääpaino on siinä miten erilaisilla sanamuodoilla ja –käänteillä amerintiaaneja ja heidän kulttuuriaan kuvattiin lukijoille 1800-luvun ensimmäisellä puoliskolla. Tutkin hybridisyyttä, identiteettiä ja rasismia Chimamanda Ngozi Adichien kolmannessa romaanissa Americanah (2013). Hybridisyyttä on tutkittu postkoloniaalisen kirjallisuudentutkimukseen kuuluvana, mutta se taipuu toisen kulttuurin omaksumisen tutkimiseen muissakin tilanteissa, esimerkiksi maahanmuutossa ja pakolaisuudessa. Identiteetti kuvaa ihmisen syvintä ja ominta olemusta. Puhutaan myös hybridisestä identiteetistä, kun ihminen omaksuu kahden tai useamman kulttuurin toimintatapoja. Americanah käsittelee rasismia erityisesti Yhdysvalloissa, sillä rotusyrjintä on osa amerikkalaista kulttuuria.

We argue that a first important step towards such CCTV-aware solutions must be a mapping system (e.g., Google Maps, OpenStreetMap) that provides both privacy and safety routing and navigation options. The yield of essential oils in plants is not high and postdistillation wastes rich in phenolic compounds could be used to enhance the profitability of essential oil-bearing plants. The aim of the study was to evaluate polyphenols in a dry extract obtained from the postdistillation waste of the American basil (Ocimum americanum L.) herb, and to conduct the screening of its pharmacological activities. Rosmarinic acid, caffeic acid and rutin were identified in the extract using high-performance thin-layer chromatography.
