Abstract A comprehensive understanding of explosive basaltic eruption processes in the deep-sea relies upon detailed analysis and comparison of the variety of volcaniclastic lithologies on the seafloor, which has been challenged by insufficient sample recovery. A dedicated ROV-based sampling approach using long push cores offers an unparalleled opportunity to fully characterize the diversity of unconsolidated volcaniclastic lithofacies on a recently active seamount. Why the share of small amount pensions is so substantial in Latvia?

More than 70% of all old-age pensions in Latvia are smaller than 300 euro, which is close to the monetary value of the at-risk-of-poverty threshold. There is a number of reasons for it: the lack of non-contributory component and inadequately low minimum pensions, the absence of redistribution mechanisms in the mandatory notional defined contribution (pillar I) and funded (pillar II) schemes, an unfair conversion of pre-reform employment record into pension formula, and a high tax burden on pensioners. AbstractPrevious studies show that many students with reading and spelling problems have a lack of progress in reading and spelling skills after years of special education services. The aim of the study is to evaluate the reading and spelling skills of Finnish children in grades 1 and 2 receiving part-time special education from special education teachers for reading and spelling difficulties (RSD) and for RSD with other learning difficulties. In this study, the focus is in the roles of the form and the amount of part-time special education in reading and spelling skills development. Darba mērķis ir pētīt kontrabandas noziedzīgus nodarījumus, kas pastrādāti organizētā grupā Krimināllikuma 190.panta izpratnē (ar grozījumiem, kas stājās spēkā ar 2015.gada 3.decembri). Aplūkot kontrabandas rašanās vēsturi, sākot no 1903.gada līdz mūsdienām. Izpētīt tās attīstību un problemātiku, mainoties politiskai un ekonomiskai situācijai. Autore veiks kontrabandas pamatsastāva un kvalificējošo pazīmju analīzi. Mēģinās izprast kontrabandas krimināltiesisko atbildību un tās atšķirību no administratīvā pārkāpuma. Darbā tiks veikts kontrabandas jēdziena salīdzinājums ar ārvalstu krimināltiesībām.

This study deals with the design and implementation of a research on the concepts of «amount of substance» and «mol». This work is grounded on a constructivistic conception of the learning of Sciences, more particularly on the model known as teaching-learning as oriented research. In accordance with this theoretical basis we have developed an empirical research framed within the teaching of Chemistry in High School. The developed designs have enabled us to assess the learning achieved by the students from a conceptual, procedural and attitudinal stance. The Actuarial Balance Sheet for Pay-As-You-Go Finance: Solvency Indicators for Spain and Sweden

This paper provides the first estimate of the actuarial balance of the Spanish contributory pension system for the old-age contingency, based on official data. The main accounting entries are developed from the principles of double-entry bookkeeping. The novel entry in the balance sheet, entitled the ‘contribution asset’ or ‘hidden asset’, is at the centre of the theoretical discussion. A comparison between the official balance sheet for the Swedish notional account system and our balance sheet for the Spanish contributory pension system is also provided. Dispersal ecology of deadwood organisms and connectivity conservation

Limited knowledge of dispersal for most organisms hampers effective connectivity conservation in fragmented landscapes. In forest ecosystems, deadwood‐dependent organisms (i.e., saproxylics) are negatively affected by forest management and degradation globally. We reviewed empirically established dispersal ecology of saproxylic insects and fungi. We focused on direct studies (e.g., mark‐recapture, radiotelemetry), field experiments, and population genetic analyses. We found 2 somewhat opposite results.
