A comprehensive analysis of vaulted bodies involves the study of the multiple components necessary for their definition: geometric configuration construction system historical-geographical area of belonging interpretations Stylistic. A butterfly like motion as a clue to the photophysics of thioxanthone

Abstract A theoretical, quantum-chemical study of the thioxanthone (TX) molecule has been performed at the MP2 and CASPT2 levels of theory. Geometries, absorption energies, and transition and state properties have been investigated. Two conformers have been found very close in energy with planar (P) and non-planar (NP) structures, the latter characterized by a dihedral angle θ  = 173.3° representing the bend of the side benzene rings and an out-of-plane angle ϕ  = 4° of the C O bond. AbstractIn classical T Tauri stars (CTTS) strong shocks are formed where the accretion funnel impacts with the denser stellar chromosphere. Modified arabinoxylan-based films

Abstract Oxygen plasma and electron beam irradiation were used to graft hydrophobic substances and by this way, to reduce water vapor permeability (WVP) of arabinoxylan-based (AX-based) films. Stearyl acrylate (SA) and stearyl methacrylate (SM) were used as reactive monomers. The homogeneous AX-based films, which were pre-activated by oxygen plasma and impregnated with a solution of SA before being exposed to an electron beam (EB), had contact angles that increased from 71° (untreated films) to 122° (treated films). Rheological modifiers based on supramolecular block copolymers: From weak associations to interconnected micelles

Abstract The rheological spectra of poly(n-butyl acrylate) in the presence of a series of P(nBA-b-HEMA) rheology modifiers show a two-step relaxation process originating from the PnBA matrix and the self-assemblies. The HEMA segments are further grafted with strong, hydrogen bonding UPy groups, which both magnifies and slows down the relaxation of the assemblies. The extents of associations are enlightened by studying thermal transitions in DSC, morphological developments by SAXS, and description of rheological properties using a tube-based model. The aim of this retrospective clinical study was to measure the apical bases and determine their size relationship in Class III malocclusion cases before and after orthodontic treatment, in order to evaluate their significance for the treatment success. Maxillary and mandibular apical bases were measured on study models of 104 Class III cases treated by conventional orthodontics, using a specifically constructed conveyance apparatus, and related to each other as an index. Ski jumping boots limit effective take-off in ski jumping

In this study, we measured the vertical and horizontal take-off forces, plantar pressures and activation patterns of four muscles (vastus lateralis, gluteus maximus, tibialis anterior, gastrocnemius) in 10 ski jumpers in simulated laboratory conditions when wearing either training shoes or ski jumping boots. We found significant differences in vertical (P < 0.001), horizontal (P < 0.05) and resultant (P < 0.001) take-off velocities and vertical force impulse (P < 0.01).
