La tesi doctoral “Atlas Lingüístico de la Península Ibérica (ALPI): Estudi i edició del País Valencià” pretén recuperar un material lingüístic (fonètic, morfosintàctic i lèxic) inèdit recollit al País Valencià entre 1934 (pobles castellanoparlants) i 1935 (pobles valencianoparlants) per investigadors de la talla de M. Sanchis Guarner i F. de B. Moll. La recuperació d’aquest material està feta de forma digital, escrita (edició de les enquestes) i il·lustrada per mapes lingüístics (cartografia selectiva). Šajā disertācijā tiek aprakstīti strukturālās un fotofizikālās MOCVD izaudzēto GaN nanovadu (NV) un InGaN kvantu punktu (KP) īpašības. Abos gadījumos ir parādīts, ka ex-situ RHEED mērījumi ir iespējami un sniedz kvalitatīvu informāciju par struktūru. Kombinācijā ar citām metodēm, pirmkārt, ir parādīts, ka nemetāliskā katalizatora veicinātā GaN NV īpašības, kad sintezēts uz GaN (0001) virsmas, atšķiras no tradicionāli iegūtajiem. Šinī gadījumā katalizators lokalizējas pie nanovadu pamatnes nevis tā galā un augšanas virziens ir atšķirīgs no kristalogrāfiskās c-ass, rezultātā iegūstot semipolārās NV struktūras. This paper presents a graphics processing unit (GPU) implementation of a recently published augmented Lagrangian based L1-mean curvature image denoising algorithm. The algorithm uses a particular alternating direction method of multipliers to reduce the related saddle-point problem to an iterative sequence of four simpler minimization problems. Two of these subproblems do not contain the derivatives of the unknown variables and can therefore be solved point-wise without inter-process communication. Darbā tika pētītas un attīstītas fizikālās metodes Ga2O3 nanovadu (NW) audzēšanai un Ga2O3 saturošu NW kodola-apvalka heterostruktūru izveidei ar ķīmisko tvaiku transportu un ar atomāru slāņu kondensācijas (ALD) izveidota slāņa atkvēlināšanu. Eksperimentu laikā iegūtās nanostruktūras raksturoja ar skenējošo un transmisijas elektronu mikroskopu, rentgendifrakciju un enerģētiski dispersīvo rentgenstaru spektroskopiju. [EN] The parametric model introduced by Lee and Carter in 1992 for modeling mortality rates in the USA was a seminal development in forecasting life expectancies and has been widely used since then. Different extensions of this model, using different hypotheses about the data, constraints on the parameters, and appropriate methods have led to improvements in the model's fit to historical data and the model's forecasting of the future. Empirical Likelihood-Based ANOVA for Trimmed Means

In this paper, we introduce an alternative to Yuen’s test for the comparison of several population trimmed means. This nonparametric ANOVA type test is based on the empirical likelihood (EL) approach and extends the results for one population trimmed mean from Qin and Tsao (2002). The results of our simulation study indicate that for skewed distributions, with and without variance heterogeneity, Yuen’s test performs better than the new EL ANOVA test for trimmed means with respect to control over the probability of a type I error. The commonly used Catalan lexicons (DCVB, DECLC, the vocabulary of Lluis Faraudo de Saint-Germain) collect words and give them meaning from ancient editions of texts. Lexicographers’ performance had its own logic: they used the documentary sources they had at their disposal when they set up to write their works. The advances in philological research (new critical editions, new sources of information) allow us to refine results and detect errors that occurred in old editions and went into dictionaries. Wrong lexemes were included, as well as incorrect or insufficient definitions. This article offers examples of it, out of four medical works. On the one hand, the Catalan translations of the R…
