Abstract The presence of cocaine in a significant number of UK pounds (Xxxx), Euros (€) and North American banknotes ($) in general circulation requires appropriate tools to do determinations. This article discusses the-state-of-the-art in the analysis of cocaine on banknotes. We summarize the usual extraction methods of currency samples and compare them, especially with respect to avoiding sample damage. We critically discuss analytical methods, namely gas chromatography (GC) and liquid chromatography (LC), capillary electrophoresis (CE), immunoassay, thermal desorption tandem mass spectrometry (TD-MS2) and ion-mobility spectrometry (IMS). Systematisk bruk av miljøterapeutiske tilnærminger til barn og familier i barnevernet anvendes i varierende grad. Miljøterapeutteamet er et hjemmebasert tiltak for familier som er i behov at hjelpetiltak etter lov om barneverntjenester § 4-4. Tiltaket er et førstelinjetilbud i Kristiansand barneverntjeneste. Familiene som teamet arbeider med blir henvist fra barneverntjenestens saksbehandlere. Etter ønske fra ledelsen i barneverntjenesten ble teamet opprettet for å arbeide målrettet inn i familier i en avgrenset periode. Petrography, mineralogy and geochemistry of a primitive pumice from Stromboli: implications for the deep feeding system

We describe the field relations, petrographic, mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of an exceptional “ golden ” pumice belonging to a tephra layer exposed on the summit area of Stromboli volcano, Italy. Pumice sample PST-9 comes from a fallout deposit older than a spatter agglutinate sequence emplaced during the twentieth century. The eruption that produced it had a size exceeding that of intermediate paroxysms but was smaller than large-scale, spatter-forming, paroxysms from the sixteenth century and 1930 A.D. Formation of basement membrane in extracapillary proliferates in rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis

In the extracapillary proliferations (crescents) of the glomeruli in glomerulonephritis, basement membranes appear and in addition "secretory bodies" are formed in the cisternae of the rough endoplasmatic reticulum. The findings permit the conclusion that proliferated visceral epithelial cells are involved in the crescent formation to a greater extent than previously assumed.
Economic performance assessment of building integrated photovoltaic system with battery energy storage under grid constraints

Abstract In this work, a typical South Norwegian house with BIPV system is considered for potential application of on-site battery energy storage. Economic and technical operation performance analysis has revealed that such a system can perform techno-economically much better compared to its counterpart. Techno-economic performance of BIPV system with appropriate energy storage has been evaluated for grid power supply limits with appropriate energy tariff for minimizing the annualized energy cost.
