Este trabajo pretende ser una primera aproximación a la dimensión del despilfarro de recursos públicos en infraestructuras en España desde 1995 hasta la actualidad en los distintos niveles de gobierno. Effects of Trimipramine on Sleep EEG, Penile Tumescence and Nocturnal Hormonal Secretion

Sleep EEG, nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT) and nocturnal endocrine activity were studied in 3 male control subjects during placebo, under trimipramine (TR) and after withdrawal. TR did not change the sleep structure. NPT activity tended to increase under TR. Nocturnal plasma cortisol levels decreased markedly while the early morning rise of cortisol appeared delayed under 200 mg TR. After withdrawal the changes of the cortisol secretion rebounded. Nocturnal secretion of GH, testosterone, LH and FSH remained unaffected, but plasma prolactin levels increased under TR and returned to normalcy after cessation. Objective: This study assessed the treatment preferences among Latin-American psychiatrists for their bipolar disorder patients and if these preferences reflect the current guidelines. Methods: We designed a survey comprised of fourteen questions. All the questions were aimed at the treatment of bipolar I patients only. We distributed the survey by hand or e-mail to psychiatrists in eight different countries: Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, México, Perú and Venezuela. Knowledge management and intellectual capital in the business model innovation of Costa Rican manufacturing firms

Abstract The purpose of this article is to analyze the impact of knowledge management and intellectual capital on the ability of companies to generate business model innovation. To evaluate the proposed hypotheses, we surveyed a final sample of 100 Costa Rican manufacturing companies and analyzed the data using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that knowledge management positively contributes to the development of business model innovations. AIM: Aim of the study was to quantify the economic impact of PET/CT and contrast enhanced (c.e.) CT performed in a single session examination vs. stand-alone modalities in oncological patients. METHODS: One-hundred-forty-five cancer patients referred to both PET/CT and c.e. CT, to either stage (N.=46) or re-stage (N.=99) the disease, were included. Labor Productivity Growth: Disentangling Technology and Capital Accumulation

We adopt a counterfactual approach to decompose labor productivity growth into growth of Technological Productivity (TEP), growth of the capital-labor ratio and growth of Total Factor Productivity (TFP). We bring the decomposition to the data using international countrysectoral information spanning from the 1960s to the 2000s and a nonparametric generalized kernel method, which enables us to estimate the production function allowing for heterogeneity across all relevant dimensions: countries, sectors and time.
