Abstract The feasibility of a double immunoassay of haptens by the nonisotopic carbonyl metalloimmunoassay (CMIA) method is demonstrated. Three different pairings of antiepileptic medications from the groups carbamazepine, diphenylhydantoin, and phenobarbital (for each of which a mono-CMIA is already available) were assayed by double CMIA. The assay method employs as tracers metal–carbonyl complexes that give very strong signals in the range of 1850–2200 cm −1 in the infrared spectrum, permitting quantitative analysis by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. In the present study a novel collection of specific monoclonal antibodies has been produced using different immunizing haptens based on a carboxy-functionalized identical spacer arm attached to alternative positions of the target pesticide molecule. Cyprodinil is a new-generation anilinopyrimidine fungicide widely used in crop protection and frequently found in fruits. In this study, novel derivatives of cyprodinil with linker site heterologies were synthesized and employed in order to produce antibodies with enhanced affinity. Moreover, moiety-heterologous haptens were designed and prepared for assay sensitivity improvement. Strobilurins are a family of synthetic natural-derived pesticides widely used for fungi control in many crops. The current paper focuses on the Spanish electoral rules governing political competition for the central “Congreso de los Diputados”. It is well-documented that the system as a whole has traditionally favoured one or the other of the two main political parties (PP and PSOE) at the expense of proportionality and the remaining political parties.
