Performance of an asymmetric and asynchronous decode-and-forward FBMC relay system

End-to-end link performance of an asymmetric and asynchronous dual-hop decode-and-forward (DF) relay system built up using a causal multirate filter bank multicarrier (FBMC) technique operated under Rayleigh fading is presented. Three main performance measures namely bit error rate (BER), outage probability and channel capacity are used for this evaluation and approximate closed-form expressions for them are also made available. FBMC setup is modeled in exact form without any approximations while customizing to one of the most efficient subcarrier filter. At the same time as the ‘emerging donors’ have gained relevance in the development cooperation system, they have also challenged established principles of aid. This article compares Brazil's and Finland's development cooperation practices in the light of recent global tendencies in the aid architecture. Based on empirical research carried out in Mozambique, Brazil, and Finland, the article gives a detailed review of the institutional and historical settings of each bilateral cooperation. Mesure de la performance des agences bancaires par une approche DEA

Using a DEA framework (Data Envelopment Analysis), we develop new performance indicators for integrated retail networks. A methodological discussion leads us to propose a productivity indicator which respects the criteria of controllability and transversal coherence. We then formalise the relationship between a performance indicator of a network's headquarters and the productivity of its various retailers. Finally, we combine these new indicators in crafting a management tool amenable to a system of balanced scorecards.

The use of technology enables theatre to modernize its own language and appeal to a younger audience, one less entrenched in tradition. New generations accept and are open to experimentation in a technological climate, contamination and cross-fertilization between art forms. The use of English terminology is evidence of this (virtual theatre, interactive theatre, computer theatre, webcam theatre, electronic theatre, interfaced theatre, … just to cite a few of the most common terms). What seems evident is that digital multimedia both off-line and on-line has reached the stage and its practice in theatrical live performance is in continuous evolution.

Questi edifici, che comportavano un notevole impegno economico da parte delle comunità locali, rappresentavano un vero e proprio status symbol e connotavano in modo scenografico le città, diventando una sorta di cerniera architettonica ed al contempo ideologica tra la campagna e i centri abitati.
