2018

Basile's Atelier

2013

BASILE’S ATELIER Ernesto Basile’s professional work-study bears witness to his continuity of activity. We find more than family belongings and evidence of professional affinity between the protagonists of this story, from generation to generation. It is more a matter of objects and places, memories which have been handed down in private spaces and reactivated in the spaces of the city, to the present days. The size of an architectural firm, as there may be some partnerships with private clients - of course, in this matter the more immediate association is that with the name of Florio - tends to be seen, however, as an element of connection with “the public”, municipalities in the first inst…

L’anno successivo, Vin…

Adaptation of HORIVERT to architects Profession

2015

International audience; The architectural profession in France is a regulated vocation whose field of intervention covers the work submitted for a building permit that establishes the architectural project, but also involves more extended missions. Architecture is also an artistic occupation. The entire architecture sector consists mainly of small or micro-organizations. They are framed at national level by the National Council of the Order of Architects (ANOC), which has regional relays. It is an associative organization, independent but recognized by the government, which is in charge of regulating the profession and ensuring the training activities. It is important to keep in mind that th…

Secon…

The School of Architecture of Palermo since its founding in 1779 with the creation of the chair of Civil Architecture entrusted to Joseph Venantius Marvuglia has become the place of testing exploration of issues related to professional practice and the art of building. Carlo Giachery Professor of Static and Civil Architecture from 1837 to 1865 is the first to feel the deep crisis of the educational system of the school of architecture of Palermo. For him architecture and applied sciences to architecture found in their stereotomy confirmation of the existence of correspondent relationships in their evolutionary process. The notion of stereotomy taken by Carlo Giachery in teaching reconnects directly to the noble art of coupe des pierres. Taken together the teaching aids used to show a theoretical advance that Giachery inclined in the direction of elasticity of the materials. Noting the outcomes of teaching his students have the clear perception of how the teaching on stereotomy is the compendium of all the French tradition on the subject. With the establishment of the School of Application for Engineers and Architects in 1866 the steretomia seems to gradually lose interest in favor of the prevailing metal construction. All the wisdom of build which for centuries had been linked with art de la coupe des pierres gave way to new construction techniques and new materials.Settore ICAR/14 - Composizione Architettonica E Urbana
