Hardware implementation of content based video indexing algorithms

This paper focus on hardware implementation of content based video indexing techniques by using the FPGA technology. We aim to propose hardware modules that can satisfy requirements of constrained applications, such as real time applications and complex applications that can combine a large number of techniques in the same indexing system. We represent tow examples of micro-architectures related to the dominant colors descriptor and the compact color descriptor.

Baukunst. Goethe’s Notes for a Treatise on Architecture

In Italy, Goethe’s interest in architecture increased. Back, with reference to Winckelmann, he started a small treatise on architecture. Dated 1795, it’s entitled Baukunst. It is a folder of 13 numbered pages, with some blank sheets and barely hinted pencil drawings that show its unfinished nature. Text on each page occupies the middle right of a folio and leaves the left side free to place corresponding drawings. The comparison between both text and drawings can give us a more complete view of Goethe’s architectural theory as counterpoint to his criticism and analytical or descriptive comments of buildings.

This article presents a review of some recent Soviet research on vocabulary learning and teaching. It has been demonstrated in a number of experiments with young and older students, and using both first and second/foreign languages, that even young children can learn linguistic word analysis skills and can benefit from such teaching.

Abstract This paper deals with Tarski's first axiomatic presentations of the syntax of deductive system. Andrzej Grzegorczyk's significant results which laid the foundations for the formalization of metalogic, are touched upon briefly. The results relate to Tarski's theory of concatenation, also called the theory of strings, and to Tarski's ideas on the formalization of metamathematics. Pair potential calculation of molecular associations: a vectorized version

Abstract The program AMYRVF is a vectorized and largely modified version of a previous program called AMYR for calculating molecular associations by means of Fraga's pair-wise atom-atom potential. Three new minimization procedures have been implemented as well as other improvements such as the inclusion of new pair-wise dispersion energy terms with damping functions, and the calculation of topological indices. La basílica de santa María de Elche se construyó en un dilatado periodo de tiempo (1673-1784), si bien la totalidad de su fábrica es deudora de la concepción del proyecto original. The paper presents the measurement results of the acoustic emission (AE) signals generated by partial discharges (PDs) at various thickness of the oil insulation layer. For the AE signals registered the time - frequency analysis was carried out based on the use of the short-time Fourier transform (STFT). Two- and three-dimensional spectrograms of the power spectrum density and the amplitude spectrum were determined. The evaluation of the influence of the propagation path length of the AE signal on the results of the time - frequency analysis was performed through the analysis of the spectrograms determined.
