Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt kādas saistības pastāv starp depresijas simptomu izteiktību, bērnībā pārciesto nelabvēlīgas pieredzi un agrīnajām neadaptīvām shēmām un noskaidrot, vai bērnības nelabvēlīgas pieredzes rādītāji paredz agrīno neadaptīvu shēmu radītājus un, savukārt, vai agrīno neadaptīvo shēmu rādītāji paredz depresijas simptomu izteiktību personām ar diagnosticētu depresiju un psihiski veselām personām. Pētījumā piedalījās 82 respondenti (visas sievietes), no kuriem 30 respondenti bija pacienti ar diagnosticēto depresiju un 52 psihiski veselas personas. Šajā darbā ir analizēta parastā ozola (Quercus robur L.) augšanas saistība ar klimatiskajiem faktoriem Latvijā (43 vietas), izmantojot dendrohronoloăijas un dendroekoloģijas metodes. Klimata ietekmes novērtējumam, izmantoja divus atšķirīgus gadskārtu mērījumus: gadskārtu platumu un pavasara koksnes traheju dobumu laukumu. Ozola augšana uzrādīja atšķirības gar austrumu-rietumu gradientu saistībā ar klimata kontinentalitāti. Balstoties uz šo gradientu Latvijas teritoriju var iedalīt divās daļās (rietumu un austrumu reģionā). A well-functioning social network involves attributes such as honesty, benevolence, fairness and confidence. When this network – trust - has formed, participants can count on reliable and consistent economic transactions. This has the effect of higher level of co-operation, but also co-dependence. Strong social networks, as measured in this study by the degree of interpersonal trust and trust in institutions, are foundational elements for societies wishing to progress to new higher levels of entrepreneurship and development. Metaforu tulkošana Eiropas Savienības Parlamenta debatēs

Darbā identificētas metaforas Eiropas Savienības Parlamenta debašu runās ar mērķi analizēt izmantoto metaforu tulkošanas stratēģijas sinhronajā tulkojumā latviešu valodā, ņemot vērā metaforas veidu. Pirmajās divās nodaļās veikta zinātniskās literatūras izpēte saistībā ar tulkošanas un metaforas konceptu, sinhronās tulkošanas aspektiem, apskatīts metaforu iedalījums un tulkošanas stratēģijas. Trešajā nodaļā tiek analizētas parlamenta debatēs izmantotās metaforu tulkošanas stratēģijas. Tiek secināts, ka metaforas rada grūtības tulkiem, pārsvarā tulkotas izmantojot pārfrāzēšanu, nevis ekvivalentu metaforu, visbiežāk izmantotas leksiskas metaforas.
Enhancing the European Cyber Threat Prevention Mechanism

This research will determine how it is possible to implement the national cyber threat prevention system into the EU level Early Warning System. Decision makers have recognized that the lack of cooperation between EU member countries affects public safety at the international level. Separate operational functions and procedures between national cyber situation centers create challenges. One main problem is that the European Union does not have a common cyber ecosystem concerning intrusion detection systems for cyber threats. Also, privacy and citizens’ security as topics are set against each other. The research will comprise a new database for the ECHO Early Warning System concept.
Two-particle transverse momentum correlations in pp and p-Pb collisions at energies available at the CERN Large Hadron Collider

Two-particle transverse momentum differential correlators, recently measured in Pb--Pb collisions at energies available at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), provide an additional tool to gain insights into particle production mechanisms and infer transport properties, such as the ratio of shear viscosity to entropy density, of the medium created in Pb-Pb collisions. The longitudinal long-range correlations and the large azimuthal anisotropy measured at low transverse momenta in small collision systems, namely pp and p-Pb, at LHC energies resemble manifestations of collective behaviour.
