The expatriate’s family as a stakeholder of the firm : a responsibility viewpoint

In this paper we argue for the recognition of the expatriate’s family as a stakeholder of the firm during the expatriation. We demonstrate why the expatriate’s family can be regarded as a stakeholder of the parent company and what kind of a stakeholder the family is. Additionally, we argue that the parent company needs to develop and apply a holistic well-being orientation to show stakeholder responsibility in the international assignment (IA) arena. We apply the theory of stakeholder salience to the IA relationship because it provides a theoretical framework for integrating the family into the expatriation process. Though the proclivity of sexual-related harassments in African journalism is high, the rates of reporting of these incidences and empirical studies are low. Using a gendered approach, the study presents and exploratory inquiry into the lived experiences and impressions of Ghanaian female journalists about incidences of sexual harassments. The study examines how female journalists experience both newsroom harassments and on-assignment sexual harassments including the role they play in quid pro quo exchanges, which are relevant aspects of sexual harassments in the profession. Praca domowa ucznia stanowi integralną część procesu dydaktyczno-wychowawczego. Dopiero w połączeniu z pracą domową lekcja szkolna tworzy pełną jednostkę procesu nauczania. Pogląd na rolę i wartość domowej pracy ucznia ulegał na przestrzeni dziejów nauczania szkolnego licznym zmianom. Aktualnie kwestia prac domowych jest szeroko dyskutowana, zarówno przez rodziców, jak i nauczycieli. Niektóre szkoły całkowicie z nich rezygnują, a inne ich bronią jako ważnego narzędzia edukacyjnego. Celem artykułu jest wyeksponowanie elementów potwierdzających konieczność pozostawienia prac domowych jako obowiązujących w procesie kształcenia oraz wskazanie czynników negujących potrzebę dalszego ich istnienia.
Joint Subcarrier and Phase Shifts Optimization for RIS-aided Localization-Communication System

Joint localization and communication systems have drawn significant attention due to their high resource utilization. In this paper, we consider a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-aided simultaneously localization and communication system. We first determine the sum squared position error bound (SPEB) as the localization accuracy metric for the presented localization-communication system. Then, a joint RIS discrete phase shifts design and subcarrier assignment problem is formulated to minimize the SPEB while guaranteeing each user’s achievable data rate requirement. This pilot study was aimed at verifying scientific reports on the good functioning of transgender people. On this basis, it was attempted to compare the subjective well-being of transgender men with heterosexual, homosexual and bisexual cisgender men. This study tried to verify the role of hormone therapy and surgical gender correction (sex reassignment surgery) as potential predictors of the subjective well-being of transgender men. Na tej podstawie starano się porównać poczucie jakości życia mężczyzn transpłciowych z cispłciowymi mężczyznami heteroseksualnymi, homoseksualnymi i biseksualnymi a także zweryfikować role terapii hormonalnej i operacyjnej korekty płci jako potencjalnych predyktorów poczucia jakości życia mężczyzn transpłciowych.
