Anthropomorphism and social presence in Human–Virtual service assistant interactions: The role of dialog length and attitudes

In this study, we delve into the perceived quality of recommendations provided by AI-based virtual service assistants (VSAs). Specifically, the role of the social presence of VSAs in influencing recommendation perceptions is investigated. We also explore how the social presence of a VSA is formed and how perceived anthropomorphism plays a vital role in shaping social presence and eventually instilling trust in VSAs among consumers. Before finishing my Ph.D. in September 1986, I had already a non permanent position at the University of Valencia, it was called at this time assistant professor (profesor ayudante), with a lot of teaching. I sent a letter to Manuel at the beginning of 1987 and, after receiving the letter, he called immediately by phone my thesis advisor, Prof. Alfredo Segura. Manuel told him: I have a lot of people at the moment, but if he is very good, I will accept him. Finally, he sent me an acceptation letter and I got a fellowship from the local government and the Ministry of Education. I did my postdoc from December 87 to 89.

Understanding the factors related to teacher burnout helps in creating schools which foster teachers’ job satisfaction and the delivery of high-quality education. We studied teacher burnout and its three subdomains across several teacher-, student-, and organisation-level variables, including teacher category, class size, number of students with support needs, attitudes towards inclusive education, and availability of support. The participants were 4567 Finnish primary school teachers consisting of 2080 classroom teachers, 1744 subject teachers, 438 special-class and 305 resource room teachers.
