Immunfluorescence study of neuropeptides in identified neurons of the rat auditory superior olivary complex.

The present study was conducted to investigate the distribution and immunohistochemical characteristics of ascending and descending projection neurons of the rat superior olivary complex (SOC), a group of interrelated brainstem nuclei. Ascending neurons were identified by injection of cholera toxin B subunit (CTB) into the central nucleus of the inferior colliculus (IC), descending neurons were labeled by application of Fluoro-Gold (FG) into the scala tympani of the cochlea, ipsilaterally to the IC injection. Sight-reading at the piano requires coordination of multiple modalities—visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Visual feedback (obtained by looking at the keyboard and the fingers) is usually regarded as one means by which pianists guide musical performance, but few researchers have focused on the organisational aspects implicit in the information provided by the keyboard. Izmantota tiek Grunig teorija. Darbā secināts, ka Latvijas Banka, komunikācijai ar jauniešiem, izmanto plašu instrumentu klāstu. Daļēji tie atbilst jauniešu auditorijas prasībām un vēlmēm, atsverot sociālos medijus un bankas mājaslapas. Puse jauniešu auditorijas banku zina, un daļa izprot tās funkcijas, savukārt, otra puse ar banku vai tās komunikāciju nekad nav saskarusies. Acoustic rendering of particle-based simulation of liquids in motion

In interaction and interface design, the representation of continuous processes often uses liquid metaphors, such as dripping or streaming. When an auditory display of such processes is required, an approach to sound-synthesis based on the physics of liquids in motion would be the most convincing, especially when real-time interaction is into play. In order to bridge the complexity of fluid-dynamic simulations with the needs of interactive sonification, we propose a multi-rate sound synthesis of liquid phenomena. What Dimensions of Lead Auditor Expertise Matter for Audit Quality and Audit Fees?

This study investigates the effects of lead auditors’ technical and managerial knowledge on audit quality and audit fees. The German institutional environment enables us to track auditors over their careers and measure their various personal attributes. We find that lead auditors’ technical knowledge is more important for audit quality than their managerial knowledge; however, their managerial knowledge is a more influential driver of audit fees than their technical knowledge.
