Effect of moisture uptake on flax-reinforced composite laminates: influence on dynamic and quasi-static properties

International audience; This study proposes to investigate the effect of moisture uptake on a wide spectrum of mechanical behaviours of unidirectional flax fibre-reinforced epoxy laminates. It includes tensile monotonic and fatigue testing. Results show that UD flax-epoxy composites, whenexposed to hygrothermal conditioning at 70°C and 85% RH, exhibit a diffusion kinetic which follows a one dimensional Fickian behaviour. The mass uptake at equilibrium is approximately 3.3 % and the diffusion coefficient 6.5 10-6 m2.s-1. Fast Optimization Scheme for the Muscular Response to FES Stimulation to Design a Smart Electrostimulator

In this article, we present the design of a smart electrostimulator for muscle rehabilitation or reinforcement, using fast computations, in order to control the muscular force. The Ding and al. model allows to predict and to optimize the muscular force response to functional electrical stimulation. [1]. We analyze the estimation of the Ding and al. parameters using an approximation of the force response [6] which depends upon the 6 parameters of the Ding's model and we derive optimization scheme which bypass the time computational expensive integration of the dynamics of the Ding and al. equations.

International audience; La nécessité de prédire le cycle de conduite d’un automobiliste afin d’améliorer sa gestion énergétique et ainsi réduire la consommation de carburant a été démontré (Debert, Quigley). Dès lors, il serait aisé d’appliquer une méthode d’optimisation globale, telle que la Programmation Dynamique (DP en anglais), pour obtenir la stratégie optimale. Cette méthode est déjà utilisée dans de nombreuses applications (Sciarretta), mais au quotidien nombreux sont les facteurs environnants qui peuvent perturber les conditions de circulation (météo, travaux, accidents....) et impacter le cycle de conduite.
