W powieści „Einhart der Lächler“ Carl Hauptmann opisuje drogę życiową artysty, która okazuje się poszukiwaniem własnej tożsamości. Carl Hauptmann ubiera swą opowieść w popularną formę powieści edukacyjnej. Droga Einharta prowadzi przez instytucje sztuki, wówczas napiętnowane przez konflikt pomiędzy wykształceniem akademickim artysty a jego kreatywną wolnością. Poniższy tekst koncentruje się na osadzeniu tego napięcia w ramach historycznych. W dalszej części przedstawione zostaną powiązania głównego bohatera z zaprzyjaźnionym z Carlem Hauptmannem malarzem – Otto Muellerem.

Three short “insurrection” stories written by Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz in the years 1963–1974 have inspired various interpretations; it seems, however, that there are still many undeciphered codes, references, and allusions. The author’s metatextual comments as well as the implicit poetics of the stories make it possible to consider them as a dialogue with the historical, cultural and aesthetic heritage of the 19th century: as a form of its literary archeology. The article deals with many literary and aesthetic conventions employed in the stories, with the emphasis on the concept of sérénité and on various associations with 19th-century art. A ąuestionnaire on “the essence and goal of a novel” published in 1897 in “Kurier Niedzielny” is an interesting documentation of aesthetic views of writers and literary critics in the late 19th century. Representatives of all literary generations of that time - from pre-positivists through two generations of Polish positivists to Young Poland writers - speak in favor of moderate aestheticism protesting against bias in literaturę and defend the autonomy of an artist. Quotes from participants exhibit good command of both idealistic (post-Hegel) aesthetic tradition and emotionalistic concepts of Positivism. They also foreshadow aesthetic predilection of Modemism. Da questo esame emerge che la meritevolezza fonda un giudizio di impronta causale sul contratto, principalmente atipico ma anche, sotto certi aspetti, su quello tipico, che va distinto da quello di liceità. The subject of this article is culinary trends observable in Polish cities during the past few years. They include both the rediscovered practices, directly related to the cultural (culinary) heritage of a particular area, and these which have become popular only recently. According to the author, characteristic culinary fads are: the promotion of local delicacies on a large scale, growing interest in shopping in farmers’ markets offering organic produce (bio-markets) and traditional goods, growing popularity of street food (including street food festivals and picnics), and organizing the so called “breakfast on the grass” events.

International audience; We report an experimental study of the doping and drawing effects on the Raman activities of phosphorus (P)-doped silica-based optical fiber and its related preform. Our data reveal a high sensitivity level in the full width at half maximum value of the 1330 cm−1 (O = P) Raman band to the P-doping level. Its increase with the P doping level does not clash with an increase in the disorder of the O = P surrendering matrix. In addition, we observe that in the central core region of the sample (higher doping level), the drawing process decreases the relative band amplitude.
