Learning Oriented e-Assessment (e-LOA) is an ICT mediated learning process. It promotes the development of competences that are relevant to both students’ academic present and professional future. In this quasi-experimental research a pretest-posttest design with experimental and control groups is implemented. We believe that the actions of e-LOA favors further development of competences. The results show that in the experimental groups there is an improvement on the level of competence. Significant differences have been found between the pretest and posttest. Wertheimer also emphasized the weaknesses of the newborn Gestalt theory: too many basic laws, and the ambiguity of definitions. At the same time, the paper contained potential solutions to these problems, in the form of a number of very important ideas, some of which were presented implicitly: perception through imitation, communicative nature of linear drawings and writings, transfer from the visual domain to motor domain, linguistic interpretation of the Gestalt. Growth factors lead to the induction of tissue regeneration in bone healing when coated on biomaterials. Basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) combines osteoinduction and neoangiogenesis. This study evaluated bFGF-coated hydroxylapatite implants in two experimental groups with 10 or 100 microg (n = 5 per group) compared with uncoated control implants in the rabbit patellar groove model. We observed an unexpected ineffectiveness compared to the control groups with no significant difference of bone growth after 35 days. Abstract We have analysed the effects of 7,12-O-diacetyl-8-O-benzoil-2,3-diepiingol (DBI), an ingol derivative isolated from E. canariensis, on isometric tension developed by isolated rabbit basilar and carotid arteries. Concentration-response curves to DBI (10−8 - 3 × 10−5 m) were obtained cumulatively in both arteries at resting tension and active tone (KC1, 50 mm). At resting tension, DBI induced a concentration-dependent contraction, which was not inhibited in Ca2+-free medium. H7 (1-(5-isoquinoline sulphonyl)-2-methylpiperazine dichloride) (10−4 m) inhibited the DBI-induced contraction both in basilar and in carotid arteries.
