The focus of this theoretical paper is to investigate how mobile information and communication technologies (ICTs) give rise to the notion of organizational fluidity. Drawing upon previous literature, five affordances of mobile ICTs − mobility, connectedness, interoperability, identifiability, and personalization − are discussed. Delving into the concept of organizational fluidity, the paper captures three dimensions of organizational fluidity, namely, team fluidity, task fluidity, and control fluidity. In questo lavoro si mostreranno i presupposti teorici e operativi per lo sviluppo di un Mobile Learning capace di coniugare didattica in presenza ed esperienze digitali, sfruttando Instagram come social media privilegiato per una proposta di un modello metodologico volto a strumentalizzare le funzioni multimediali e interattive interne all’applicazione. I risultati qualitativi del progetto di ricerca-azione Edu-social Algorithm mostrano una serie di contenuti mediaeducativi che evidenziano il potenziale pedagogico dentro il social media Instagram e la replicabilità del modello metodologico sviluppato.

Actual and Potential Pedagogical Use of Tablets in Schools

This study reviews the potential of tablet technology for teaching and learning. In autumn 2012, we conducted a focused survey comprising quantitative and qualitative questions with Finnish teachers (N = 171, from 54 schools). We focused on perceived pedagogical opportunities and the actualized pedagogical potential of tablets at schools. The survey results indicate that the actual usefulness of tablets in schools was significantly less than what teachers perceived as the pedagogical potential. However, the results demonstrate the positive impact these devices are having on teaching and learning, as well as prompting changes in pedagogical perspectives. Tehnoloģiju integrēšana un to regulāra izmantošana izglītībā, un jo īpaši, angļu valodas kā svešvalodas apguvē, šobrīd ir viens no būtiskākajiem skolotāju izaicinājumiem. Moderno tehnoloģiju izmantošana izglītībā stimulē skolēnu vēlmi būt iesaistītiem mācību procesā, palielina katra atsevišķi skolēna iesaistīšanos, kā arī tuvina tradicionālo angļu valodas kā svešvalodas mācību stundu reālajai dzīvei.
