CLIL modules and their affective impact on students with high English anxiety and low self-efficacy

Many studies in recent years focused on the efficiency of bilingual education in different school settings. If a school pursues a regular implementation of CLIL modules instead of the establishment of proper CLIL streams, the student group that is affected by this teaching approach is much more diverse when compared to the preselected CLIL stream groups. Tutkimus tähtää löytämään erilaisia kaksikielisiä opetusmetodeja ja korostamanaan niitä metodeja, jotka opettajat kuvaavat hyvin toimiviksi. Tarkoituksena on myös tarkastella tekijöitä, joita opettajat ottavat huomioon valitessaan kaksikielisen opetusmetodin. Tätä tukimusta voidaan kutsua tapaustutkimukseksi. Se toteutettiin haastatellen neljää opettajaa, jotka työskentelevät Family Centre Klubíčkossa Kroměříž:ssa, Tsekissä. Opettajat haastateltiin pareina teemahaastattelun periaatteita noudattaen. CLIL Implementation in Greece : Empirical Findings from 2006 to 2020

Abstract Despite the increasing interest in CLIL in Greece over the past decade, Greek CLIL research is largely absent from international review studies. This systematic review focuses on primary and secondary education, and examines peer-reviewed empirical research on CLIL implementation in Greece from 2006 to 2020. A total of 33 items are reviewed using qualitative Content Analysis. Organized according to commonalities shared by their foci, the reviewed items highlight three main research areas of CLIL implementation in Greece: (1) CLIL project evaluation, (2) CLIL students’ development, and (3) CLIL teachers. The paper provides an overview of organization principles of interactive distance teaching as well as its implementation for continuous education course for bilingual education teachers of 6 programme’s subjects. Distance teaching sessions were organized in 10 school’s computer classes. There are considered possible solutions for interactive distance learning classes. Lessons organization, based on the server’s remote session control is described. It is arranged participating teacher survey regarding usability of applied environment and made conclusions about appropriateness of developed approach.

A large part of the literature on translanguaging as a pedagogical theory has explored how an inclusive multilingual pedagogy can support students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds to actively participate in the classroom.
