Se da a conocer el listado actual de babosas terrestres de la Comunidad Valenciana y se realizan 13 comentarios al respecto. Se incluyen también discusiones taxonómicas que clarifican el estatus actual de algunas de las especies. Se figuran todas las especies y se muestra su distribución geográfica en la Comunidad Valenciana. En este artículo recopilamos y comentamos la lista de las especies de babosas terrestres (“Pulmonados desnudos”) de la península ibérica (algunas también presentes en el sur de Francia) e islas Baleares, basándonos en una revisión bibliográfica hasta el nivel de especie y en nuestras propias recolecciones. Está formada por 71 especies, de las cuales 34 son endémicas, y de ellas sólo dos de Baleares, pertenecientes a 9 familias y 16 géneros. Primeros hallazgos del mejillón invasor Brachidontes pharaonis (P. Fischer, 1870) (Mollusca Bivalvia: F. Mytilidae) en la costa valenciana (España)

Se dan a conocer por primera vez diversos hallazgos del bivalvo marino invasor lessepsiano Brachidontes pharaonis en la costa valenciana, en los puertos de Xàbia y Calp, ambos en la provincia de Alicante (España), incrementando la distribución conocida de esta especie en la costa mediterránea española. Se proporcionan algunos datos conquiológicos, se figuran ejemplares utilizados en su identificación y se muestra el mapa actualizado de su distribución geográfica en la costa mediterránea española y en el mediterráneo occidental.
Primer hallazgo de Ganula lanuginosa (Boissy, 1835) (Stylommatophora, Hygromiidae) en Europa continental

Recientemente se ha descubierto una población bien establecida del higrómido Ganula lanuginosa en Xàtiva (Provincia de Valencia, España), correspondiendo a la primera localidad confirmada para la península ibérica y Europa continental. Es un caracol terrestre nativo del norte de África y conocido también de las islas mediterráneas europeas: Baleares (España), Cerdeña (Italia) y Córcega (Francia). Se han realizado estudios morfo-anatómicos de la concha y del aparato reproductor, y estas características se han comparado con las de los higrómidos más similares, lo que nos ha permitido su correcta identificación.

Recently, a well-established population of the hygromiid Ganula lanuginosa has been discovered in the Iberian Peninsula, specifically in Xàtiva (Province of Valencia, Spain), corresponding to the first record for the Iberian Peninsula and the Continental Europe. Betulinic acid, which is found in transgenic roots of Senna obtusifolia (L.) H.S.Irwin & Barneby, is a pentacyclic triterpene with distinctive pharmacological activities. In this study, we report the differences in the content of betulinic acid and selected anthraquinones in transgenic S. obtusifolia hairy roots with overexpression of the PgSS1 gene (SOPSS2 line) and in transformed hairy roots without this genetic construct (SOA41 line). Este trabajo estudia la presencia y complejidad en el tratamiento de las causas de la biodiversidad y de las razones para su conservación que realizan manuales escolares de la Educación Secundaria de España. Para ello, se determinó el ámbito conceptual y axiológico que define la comunidad de expertos, se examinó el tratamiento propuesto en el currículo español y se analizaron 50 manuales escolares (27 de la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria –ESO – y 30 del Bachillerato). Multifunctional areas as a tool to enhance biodiversity and promote conservation in alfalfa fields.

The present study analyses the effects of multifunctional areas (MA) for three years (2013–2015) on an intensive multi-crop farm in Portugal. The implementation of MA resulted in a wide range of enhancements in the insect community, such as significant effects as a reservoir, allowing an increase of 102.47% in the number of species and 97.64% of individuals. MA play an important role in conservation strategies and help increase the population of rare and threatened arthropod species.

The order is divided into 10 families, which include 1008 species in 141 genera, with a high proportion of monotypic genera. The complex nature of plant resistance to adverse environmental conditions, such as salinity and drought requires a better understanding of the stress-induced changes that may be involved in tolerance mechanisms. Here we investigate stress-related morpho-physiological effects during vegetative and reproductive growth in two Japonica rice cultivars (Bomba and Bahia) exposed to a range of NaCl concentrations from the seedling stage.
