To evaluate, in breast cancer patients treated by neoadjuvant chemotherapy, the predictive value of reduction in FDG uptake with regard to complete pathological response (pCR).Forty-seven women with non-metastatic, non-inflammatory, large or locally advanced breast cancer were included. Tumour uptake of FDG was evaluated before and after the first course of neoadjuvant chemotherapy. To investigate the feasibility and tolerance in the use of adjuvant intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and simultaneous integrated boost in patients with a diagnosis of breast cancer after breast-conserving surgery.Between September 2011 to February 2013, 112 women with a diagnosis of early breast cancer (T1-2, N0-1, M0) were treated with IMRT and simultaneous integrated boost after breast-conserving surgery in our institution. Abstract Purpose To report a case series of patients with the nonexposed variant of bisphosphonate-associated osteonecrosis of the jaw—a form of jaw osteonecrosis that does not manifest with necrotic bone exposure/mucosal fenestration. Methods Among 332 individuals referred to 5 clinical centers in Europe because of development of jawbone abnormalities after or during exposure to bisphosphonates, we identified a total of 96 patients who presented with the nonexposed variant of osteonecrosis.
