The project involves 25 researchers – linguists, educators, psychologists – from five institutions in Latvia and Norway, and focuses on phonological, lexical and morphosyntactic acquisition of Latvian as a native language in monolingual and bilingual settings. Physician-staffed helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) are a well-established component of prehospital trauma care in Germany. Reduced rescue times and increased catchment area represent presumable specific advantages of HEMS. The Internet as a new means of communication promotes the emergence of new ways of expressing thoughts and emotions. Our brief analysis of the techniques for verbalizing positive emotions on the Internet shows that Internet users have found ways to solve these problems. The graphic and lexical means they use allow them to express the entire range of experiences. Prolongation and chanting replace phonetic means, emoticons convey facial expressions, duplicated punctuation marks express the power of emotions. A close examination of the intersection of printed and unpublished sources allows, in a comprehensive manner, to reconstruct the history of the project of the Vocabularium iurisprudentiae Romanae. Within this unitary framework the idea that interpolationism was based on a lexical motive, and not on a juridical one, is discussed. Eine eingehende Überprüfung von gedruckten und ungedruckten Quellen ermöglicht es, die Projektgeschichte des Vocabularium iurisprudentiae Romanae vollständig zu rekonstruieren. In diesem Rahmen wird die Vorstellung erörtert, nach der hinter der zeitgenössischen Interpolationenkritik ein wesentlich lexikalischer, nicht aber juristischer, Beweggrund zu erblicken sei.

We have carried out a detailed observational study of the light, color, and velocity variations of two bright, carbon-rich proto-planetary nebulae, IRAS 22223+4327 and 22272+5435. The light curves are based upon our observations from 1994 to 2011, together with published data by Arkhipova and collaborators. They each display four significant periods, with primary periods for IRAS 22223+4327 and 22272+5435 being 90 and 132 days, respectively. For each of them, the ratio of secondary to primary period is 0.95, a value much different from that found in Cepheids, but which may be characteristic of post-asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars.
