Some Common Coupled Fixed Point Results for Generalized Contraction in Complex-Valued Metric Spaces

We introduce and study the notion of common coupled fixed points for a pair of mappings in complex valued metric space and demonstrate the existence and uniqueness of the common coupled fixed points in a complete complex-valued metric space in view of diverse contractive conditions. In addition, our investigations are well supported by nontrivial examples.
Coincidence and fixed points for contractions and cyclical contractions in partial metric spaces

Abstract We prove some coincidence and common fixed point results for three mappings satisfying a generalized weak contractive condition in ordered partial metric spaces. As application of the presented results, we give a unique fixed point result for a mapping satisfying a weak cyclical contractive condition. We also provide some illustrative examples. A new Cartan-type property and strict quasicoverings when p = 1 in metric spaces

In a complete metric space that is equipped with a doubling measure and supports a Poincar\'e inequality, we prove a new Cartan-type property for the fine topology in the case $p=1$. Then we use this property to prove the existence of $1$-finely open \emph{strict subsets} and \emph{strict quasicoverings} of $1$-finely open sets. As an application, we study fine Newton-Sobolev spaces in the case $p=1$, that is, Newton-Sobolev spaces defined on $1$-finely open sets.
Common fixed points of mappings satisfying implicit contractive conditions

In this article we obtain, in the setting of metric spaces or ordered metric spaces, coincidence point, and common fixed point theorems for self-mappings in a general class of contractions defined by an implicit relation. A Coupled Fixed Point Theorem in Fuzzy Metric Space Satisfying ϕ-Contractive Condition

The intent of this paper is to prove a coupled fixed point theorem for two pairs of compatible and subsequentially continuous (alternately subcompatible and reciprocally continuous) mappings, satisfyingϕ-contractive conditions in a fuzzy metric space. We also furnish some illustrative examples to support our results.
Fixed point theory for cyclic weak ϕ-contraction in fuzzy metric spaces

In this paper, we introduce cyclic weak $\phi-$contractions in fuzzy metric spaces and utilize the same to prove some results on existence and uniqueness of fixed point in fuzzy metric spaces. Some related results are also proved besides furnishing illustrative examples.
Set-valued mappings in partially ordered fuzzy metric spaces

Abstract In this paper, we provide coincidence point and fixed point theorems satisfying an implicit relation, which extends and generalizes the result of Gregori and Sapena, for set-valued mappings in complete partially ordered fuzzy metric spaces. Also we prove a fixed point theorem for set-valued mappings on complete partially ordered fuzzy metric spaces which generalizes results of Mihet and Tirado. MSC:54E40, 54E35, 54H25.
On the use of a metric-space search algorithm (AESA) for fast DTW-based recognition of isolated words

The approximating and eliminating search algorithm (AESA) presented was recently introduced for finding nearest neighbors in metric spaces. Although the AESA was originally developed for reducing the time complexity of dynamic time-warping isolated word recognition (DTW-IWR), only rather limited experiments had been previously carried out to check its performance in this task. Participative Planning Processes in the Absence of the (Public) Space of Democracy

Abstract This article aims to investigate the role, limits and opportunities of participation programmes in a local political context where consensus-building and inclusionary practices are not high priorities. A public housing neighbourhood in Palermo is used as a case study in order to critically highlight the ambiguous role that participative practices tend to play in fragile contexts. The case study also highlights the need for some preconditions for effective participatory practices in planning. These preconditions are focused on Arendt's notion of the ‘space of democracy’.
