The exhibition El dibujado by Paco Roca (IVAM, 2019) is an exploration of the paradigm shift brought forth by the abandonment of paper and reproducibility as a space for the dissemination of the comic strip. The exhibition hall of a museum (the Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno) becomes a space for formal and ephemeral experimentation at different levels, from the purely creative to the pondering about the unexplored possibilities of the language of the comic book. The article attempts to explain the purpose of investing characters of tales, fables and animations, with the name “silly”. The author analyzes such examples of works that show various aspects of the phenomenon of foolishness: naivety, infantility, lack of elementary knowledge, performing an activity against logic and laws of nature (e.g., drowning of fish). An important element of the argument is also presentation of the significance and influence of the display of stupidity on receivers. Artykuł poświęcony jest charakterystyce kuriozalnych postaci z kreskówek emitowanych przede wszystkim przez stację Cartoon Network, a także Disney XD oraz telewizję Polsat. Analiza bohaterów tychże animacji miała wykrystalizować czynniki, które wpływają na pojawienie się pierwiastka niezwykłości, dziwaczności w kreskówkach. Tekst został podzielony na trzy części. Każda z nich poświęcona jest jednemu z warunków, który wpływa na postrzeganie bohaterów animacji przez pryzmat kuriozalności.

Tutkielma selvittää Iso-Britannian ja Saksan poliittisten järjestelmien arvioimista ja mielikuvien luomista pilakuvissa 1900-luvun alun poliittisesti epävakaissa oloissa. Pilakuvien kautta piirtäjät toivat ilmi näkemyksiä ajan puolueista ja poliitikoista, näin vahvistaen olemassa olevia näkemyksiä, luoden uusia mielikuvia ja esittäen kritiikkiä. Tutkimuskohteina ovat valtion monarkkia, hallitusta ja poliittisia puolueita käsittelevät pilakuvat.
