Els postulats de la filologia romànica internacional sobre l'origen, la identitat i el nom de la llengua catalana (1806-1906)

Resum: Aquest treball analitza els postulats dels romanistes no catalanòfons sobre l’origen, la identitat i el nom de la llengua catalana entre 1806 i 1906. Al segle xix es situa l’inici de la filologia romànica, i cada vegada més erudits cataloguen i estudien les diferents llengües romàniques. Progressivament, en aquest període els romanistes prenen en consideració la llengua catalana, i realitzen afirmacions sobre el seu origen —compartit amb la llengua occitana o independent des de l’inici—, la seua identitat —subordinada a l’occità o autònoma com la resta de llengües romàniques— i el nom amb què cal referir-s’hi.

Riassunto: l saggio analizza i rapporti tra la produzione poetica dei trovatori aquitani e calatani in occitano del XII secolo, in particolare tra Guglielmo IX d’Aquitania, Marcoat e Marcabru. Abstract: This article explores the ways in which motifs of feminine culpability, typically articulated by the male courtly lover to his beloved lady in the Spanish sentimental novel, are subverted in the anonymous fifteenth-century Catalan chivalric novel Curial e Guelfa. This subversion of culpability motifs is facilitated in Curial e Guelfa since there is also a subversion of gender roles within the amorous relationship of the novel’s protagonists: a female lover, Guelfa, who courts her male beloved, Curial. I demonstrate how the same tactics used by the male courtly lover in the sentimental novel to blame the beloved lady for his suffering and the demise of the relationship are employed…

In 1385 Ferrer Saiol, protonotary of Queen Eleanor of Sicily, translated into Catalan Palladius’s Opus Agriculturae (‘The Work on Farming’). This Latin work was widely known throughout the whole of the Middle Ages, and therefore a translation of Opus Agriculturae was wanted in the fourteenth-century's Kingdom of Aragon. A difficult aspect of Opus Agriculturae is its technical vocabulary. Being aware of it, Ferrer Saiol referred in his translation to his use of numerous reference books to undertake the best possible version. Resum: L’any 1472 Francesc Alegre va traduir al catala la versio italiana dels Commentarii tres de primo bello punico de Leonardo Bruni. En l’article s’ha comparat exhaustivament el catala amb sis manuscrits italians i l’original llati. Les divergencies entre original i traduccio s’han ordenat en tres categories: addicions, eliminacions i modificacions. La metodologia d’Alegre oscil·la des d’una traduccio literal a una traduccio del sentit de l’original. Els resultats seran comparats posteriorment amb els metodes d’Alegre a les Transformacions d’Ovidi amb l’objectiu de definir Francesc Alegre com a traductor. Resum: Una llegenda medieval fon dos personatges literaris: el Judes dels evangelis i l’Èdip clàssic de la tragèdia de Sòfocles, de manera que ens trobem un Judes que, a més dels pecats que ja li coneixíem (traïció, avarícia, mentida, satanisme, suïcidi etc.), comet dues transgressions “edípiques”: el parricidi –mata el seu pare- i l’incest –es casa amb sa mare-. En aquest article fem un seguiment de la tradició textual d’aquesta fussió, del s. XII al XVI, en especial a través de les “passions” teatrals occitanes i catalanes, la Legenda aurea de Varazze i algunes referències de sant Vicent Ferrer i Francesc Eiximenis.

The present article focuses on ff. cxlr-cviiir of the manuscript Miscel?lània 26, Arxiu de la Corona d’Aragó, Barcelona, which contain the only extant version of the fifteenth-century Catalan translation of the French Danse macabre. The article contains a philological study of this section of the manuscript, with particular attention to the relationship between the Catalan version of the Danse macabre and its French sources: this study serves as an introduction to a new critical edition of the Catalan translation proposed in the second part of the article. Resum: En absència d’estudis monogràfics sobre la Lloa de Fontanella, aquest article n’ analitza l’estructura dramàtica, començant amb una reflexió sobre llur classificació dintre del gènere i sobre l’espai de la Barcelona del segle XVII que podria haver-la escenificat. La importància funcional que el poeta barceloní atorga a la música i al metateatre condueixen a una interpretació de la Lloa des d’un punt de vista poeticomusical, la qual cosa permet una nova lectura de certs passatges i una valoració crítica que afecta, no només a la peça en qüestió sinó a tota la Tragicomèdia pastoral d’amor, firmesa i porfia i al caràcter d’avantguarda del teatre català de l’Edat Moderna

Estudi de la consideració de la prosa d'Isabel de Villena com a "afectiva" per la crítica literària al llarg dels segles. Se sosté que aquesta prosa no és més afectiva que la de la resta de vitae Christi. Es presenta una catalogació de l'ús de diminutius en aquesta autora, i es mostra que en va fer un ús molt més escàs que no es pensava abans.
