Anton Chekhov lived in a tumultuous period that strongly influenced the future of Russia: he was a conscious and careful observer of this changing political landscape. Parallel examination of Chekhov’s drama and short stories yield the most complete understanding of his realism. The contents of his short stories are explicitly connected with the subject matter of his later plays. Gorky disagreed with the critics who, after the first productions of Chekhov’s plays, had characterized Chekhov’s as a ‘simbolic realism’. He saw in the playwright’s approach a unique ability for capturing and communicating universal meaning.

Objective: Rates of adolescent obesity are increasing worldwide, with steeper increases being observed in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Sedentary behavior (SB) has been associated with various physical and mental health conditions. Little is known about the association between SB and obesity among adolescents in LMICs. This cross-sectional study explored the associations between SB and obesity in adolescents from 41 LMICs. L'articolo prende in esame l'impiego di alcune tecniche narrative, simili e differenti, elaborate dai due scrittori al fine di enucleare l'originalità delle due opere. L'analisi di focalizza principalmente su tre elementi ricorrenti delle due narrazioni: la strada, le due eroine, gli infanticidi, al fine di sottolineare i contenuti ideologici e i molteplici significati simbolici.

One hundred and twenty six samples of fresh pork sausages were analysed-for the presence of verocytotoxigenic Escherichia coli (VTEC). Selective enrichment followed by DNA extraction and PCR amplification of the stx1 and stx2 genes highlighted the occurrence of the above mentioned genes in 20 out of 126 samples screened. From the stx positive enriched cultures, isolation was performed on CT-SMAC agar plates after immuno-magnetic separation of E. coli O157. Datowany jest on na około 1700 rok i z pewnością powstał na Śląsku. Podstawowym składnikiem opolskiego manuskryptu są wykroje w skali 23 prac krawieckich, głównie ubiorów noszonych przy końcu XVII wieku, ale wśród krawieckich szablonów znalazły się także wzory użytkowe, takie jak chorągiew kościelna, namiot wojskowy, strój na konia, dekoracja elewacji domu. Celem badania było sprawdzenie związków pomiędzy cechami temperamentu wyodrębnionymi przez Pawłowa a preferencjami utworów składających się z określonych elementów muzycznych. W badaniu wzięło udział 145 studentów, w wieku 19-26 lat. W celu określenia cech temperamentu badani wypełnili Kwestionariusz Temperamentu PTS. W celu określenia preferowanego utworu badani wypełnili Kwestionariusz Preferencji Muzycznych. Analiza statystyczna wykazała, że wszystkie cechy temperamentu wyodrębnione przez Pawłowa wykazują związek z określonymi elementami zawartymi w utworach muzycznych preferowanych przez badanych.
