Previsione delle prestazioni del veicolo su strada: stato dell’arte

Questo lavoro contiene una rassegna dei metodi che sono usati per la previsione delle prestazioni del veicolo su strada, in dipendenza del motore installato. La prima parte mostra il calcolo delle resistenze al moto, cioè le forze che il veicolo deve vincere per avanzare sulle strade piane e in salita. Particolarmente interessante appare la parte che riguarda la resistenza aerodinamica, della quale si tratta di metodi sperimentali (galleria del vento), metodi empirici e metodi CFD. Si propone inoltre l’applicazione della norma CUNA sulla velocità per la determinazione dei consumi anche al calcolo dei coefficienti aerodinamici. Aerosolization Performance of Jet Nebulizers and Biopharmaceutical Aspects

In this work, 13 jet nebulizers, some of which in different configurations, were investigated in order to identify the biopharmaceutical constraints related to the quality attributes of the medicinal products, which affect their safety, efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness. The aerosolization parameters, including the aerosol output, aerosol output rate, mass median aerodynamic diameter, and fine particle fraction, were determined according to the European Standard EN 13544-1, using sodium fluoride as a reference formulation. Restoration of a XVII Century’s predella reliquary: From Physico-Chemical Characterization to the Conservation Process

We report on the restoration of a XVII century’s predella reliquary, which is a part of a larger setup that includes a wall reliquary and a wooden crucified Christ, both belonging to the church of “Madre Maria SS. Assunta”, in Polizzi Generosa, Sicily, Italy. The historical/artistic and paleographic research was flanked successfully by the scientific objective characterization of the materials. Our cities should be designed to accommodate everybody, including children. We will not move toward a more sustainable society unless we accept that children are people with transportation needs, and ‘bussing’ them around, or providing parental limousine services at all times, will not lead to sustainability. This work focuses on the study of personal determinants of pupils' achievement and reactions toward class (well-being; satisfaction with teacher, learning and class). A theoretical model is tested by commonality analysis and refined by causal paths analysis. The results show that external and cognitive prior characteristics (age, gender, socio-occupational background, academic record) have direct effects on criteria variables, and indirectly via the attitudes toward school (negative feelings; scholastic interest; aspirations for future studies; "scholastic anxiety, worry and stress"; fun school). Charge Transport Mechanisms in Heavy-Ion Driven Leakage Current in Silicon Carbide Schottky Power Diodes

Under heavy-ion exposure at sufficiently high reverse bias voltages silicon carbide (SiC) Schottky diodes are observed to exhibit gradual increases in leakage current with increasing ion fluence. Heavy-ion exposure alters the overall reverse current-voltage characteristics of these diodes, leaving the forward characteristics practically unchanged. This paper discusses the charge transport mechanisms in the heavy-ion damaged SiC Schottky diodes. A macro model, describing the reverse current-voltage characteristics in the degraded SiC Schottky diodes is proposed. peerReviewed

A trial monitoring of a typical full-scale municipal WWTP in Central Finland was aimed to explore applicability of high performance liquid chromatography – size exclusion chromatography (HPSEC) with simultaneous UV and fluorescence detection as a tool for advanced routine monitoring of wastewater treatment. High, intermediate, and low molecular weight (MW) fractions of untreated wastewater (influent) and treated wastewater (secondary effluent) were characterized in terms of UV absorbance at 254 nm (UVA254) and specific fluorescence representing tyrosine-like, tryptophan-like, and humic/fulvic-like compounds. Background This article uses the logistic regression model for diagnostic decision making in patients with chronic nasal symptoms.
