Christian eschatology is a relatively neglected area within the ecumenical debate. This may indicate that the issues in this area do not have such a destructive impact on the interconfessional relations as the questions of soteriology and ecclesiology. At the same time it is known that the issue of indulgences for the dead was the cause of the sixteenth-century dispute within the Church over the doctrine of justification. Przedstawiono przypadek chorego z żylnymi owrzodzeniami goleni na tle niewydolności żyły mięśnia brzuchatego łydki z układem refleksowym typu „enigma of the gastrocnemius vein”. Operacja polegała na wybiórczym podwiązaniu niewydolnego perforatora łączącego żyłę mięśnia brzuchatego łydki z żyłą odstrzałkową. Po operacji owrzodzenia wygoiły się oraz ustąpił refluks w układzie żyły mięśnia brzuchatego łydki. Omówiono również taktykę operacji u chorych z żylakami towarzyszącymi niewydolności żyły mięśnia brzuchatego łydki.

Toxicity of waste dump leachates and sugar factory effluents and their impact on groundwater and surface water quality in the Opole Province in Poland

A battery of Toxkit microbiotests with 4 aquatic species from different trophic levels has been used to evaluate the toxicity of 2 types of point source pollution in the Voivoidship of Opole in Poland: percolating waters from drainage systems of 4 municipal waste dumps and the effluents of a sugar factory. In addition, the toxicity of groundwaters from 2 wells near 2 waste dumps was also assessed. All the drainage waters of the waste dumps and the groundwaters near one dump (an unprotected landfill) showed toxic effects on all the test species, for samples taken in spring as well as in autumn. Sharing photographs and photo-chatting are common practices in doing family at a distance. This study looks at the processes of the production and circulation of photographs within the family network, analysing participants’ narratives about their image-based communication in WhatsApp. The data was collected as an ethnographic enquiry into the digitally mediated (transnational) family communication of five Polish women and their children living in Finland. Effective Recovery Process of Copper from Waste Printed Circuit Boards Utilizing Recycling of Leachate

AbstractThis study presents an optimized leaching and electrowinning process for the recovery of copper from waste printed circuit boards including studies of chemical consumption and recirculation of leachate. Optimization of leaching was performed using response surface methodology in diluted sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide media. Optimum leaching conditions for copper were found by using 3.6 mol L−1 sulfuric acid, 6 vol.% hydrogen peroxide, pulp density of 75 g L−1 with 186 min leaching time at 20°C resulting in complete leaching of copper followed by over 92% recovery and purity of 99.9% in the electrowinning.
