Rodzina stanowiąca naturalne środowisko wychowawcze dla młodego pokolenia, nie zawsze prawidłowo wywiązuje się z ról i zadań wychowawczych. Zdarzenia losowe, dysfunkcje powodują, iż role te zostają odwrócone, tj. dzieci przejmują zadania dorosłych. Określa się to terminem parentyfikacja. Celem podjętych badań było poznanie przeżywanych w okresie dzieciństwa doświadczeń związanych z parentyfikacją z perspektywy młodych dorosłych. Can we increase children’s rights endorsement and knowledge?: A pilot study based on the reference framework of competences for democratic culture

This pilot study is the first to examine whether a novel curriculum based on the Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture (RFCDC) could increase children’s endorsement and knowledge of children’s rights. We conducted a pre-test-post-test design with an intervention and a comparison school. Pupils (n = 172) from Bulgaria, Italy, Norway, Romania, and Spain attended schools in which the curriculum was taught, whereas pupils in the comparison group (n = 120) attended schools in the same city where the curriculum was not taught. The review of hunting texts published in the interwar periodical Płomyk shows their formal, genre, and narrative variety. In the periodical, literary works such as short stories, legends, folk tales, and memoirs function on nearly equal rights as paraliterary and joumalistic texts (reportages, discussions, prose of memorial and documentary character). One may distinguish two conventions: the realistic and the fabular-fantastical, with the former being dominant. Purpose: To study the association of parents’ reports about their children’s near work and outdoor habits with myopia in their children. Methods: Data from a questionnaire study conducted in 1983 among Finnish schoolchildren were reanalyzed. Vision screening had been performed for all the schoolchildren (n = 4961) in the 1st, 5th, and 8th grades (7-, 11-, and 15-year-olds) in an area of Central Finland. Child–educator disagreements in Finnish early childhood education and care: young children’s possibilities for influence

This study explores young children’s possibilities for influence in situations of child–educator disagreement in Finnish early childhood education and care (ECEC). Data were gathered from observations conducted in four ECEC groups of under three year-olds. A total of 112 child–educator disagreements were analysed qualitatively using reflexive thematic analysis. The authors present results of their studies dealing with symbols of fear identified in drawings made by Polish and Turkish children. The studies consisted in comparing results with regard to the categories and content of symbols recognized in the drawings presented by younger school-age children of the two nationalities. Przedmiotem rozważań niniejszego artykułu uczyniono zaangażowanie ojców zastępczych w realizację rodzicielskiej działalności w rodzinnych domach dziecka. Problem badawczy sformułowano w następującym pytaniu: Jaki jest poziom zaangażowania ojców zastępczych w realizację rodzicielskiej działalności, zarówno w wymiarze globalnym, jak i parcjalnym?
