Patterns of rapid weight loss in elite sambo athletes

Abstract Background Rapid weight loss (RWL) is commonly practiced in combat sports. Both magnitude and methods used to induce RWL are largely similar among combat sports, but currently, there is no data on RWL methodology used by sambo athletes. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine RWL procedures sambo athletes apply to lose weight rapidly. Methods The sample consisted of 199 participants, of which 132 males and 67 females who participated in the World Sambo Championship 2020 held in Novi Sad, Serbia. This article explores the leisure time and civic activities of ‘multicultural youth’ in Finland. The theoretic-conceptual framework is the Foucauldian governmentality approach and Foucault's four step model of the ethical self-formation of the moral subject. This toolkit exposes how the subjectivation of the multicultural youth takes place in their leisure time activities and civic action, and connects and disconnects with the desires and expectations of administration and youth workers. L’expérience d’étudiants1 utilisant pour la première fois ce dispositif dans le cadre de leur formation a été recueillie. Les hébergements touristiques ont connu une profonde mutation avec notamment une orientation par la production de contextes expérientiels qui soit constituent l’offre proprement dite, soit servent à mieux positionner cette offre vis-à-vis de la concurrence. L’objet de cette recherche est donc de mesurer l’influence des services (fonctionnels versus expérientiels) offerts par un hôtel haut de gamme thématisé et situé dans un parc d’attractions sur la satisfaction de la clientèle.
