Urban society seems to have penetrated every corner of France, reducing the object of rural sociology and ethnology to nothing. These disciplines are built on a sharp rural/urban split, reserving the canonical vocabulary of sociology, such as the analysis of social class, for urban settings. The malignant carcinomas are characterized by several capabilities acquired by the neoplastic cells, among which the ability to invade the extracellular matrix (ECM) and to establish a crosstalk with several ECM components. Under this respect, the extracellular microenvironment is an entity extraordinarily rich of information with opposite signals. Our group has long undertaken the study of the effects of ECM molecules on the behavior of cancer cells in vitro. Transnationalism and Settlement of Latvian Emigrants in the Nordic Countries

The intra-European migration flows have fostered debates about the intentions of migrants to settle in their destination country or return to their countries of origin. Based on a quantitative analysis of survey data ('N' = 1391), this article presents a typology of migration patterns among migrants from Latvia in the Nordic countries. Using two dimensions—attachment to the destination country and attachment to the country of origin—the article identifies and characterises the following four migration patterns: (1) bi-nationals, (2) settlers, (3) footloose migrants and (4) isolated migrants who focus on their country of origin and are willing to return (separated).

Pēdējo gadu laikā cilvēki arvien vairāk sāk pievērst uzmanību apkārtējās vides draudiem un sāk vairāk apspriest ilgtspējību un “zaļās” domāšanas tematus. Patērētāji izdara spiedienu uz industrijām, izvēloties atbalstīt ilgspējīgi domājošus uzņēmumus un pērkot “zaļās” preces, tādēļ šī pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot vissatbilstošāko vārdšķiru kosmētikas produktu aprakstos un saprast kurš uzņēmums atspoguļo “zaļo” domāšanu visvairāk. Literatūras apskats sniedz teorētisko pamatu empīriskās daļas veikšanai.
