Current high-throughput experimental techniques make it feasible to infer gene regulatory interactions at the whole-genome level with reasonably good accuracy. Such experimentally inferred regulatory networks have become available for a number of simpler model organisms such as S. cerevisiae, and others. C4-dicarboxylates, such as fumarate, L-malate and L-aspartate represent substrates for anaerobic growth of Escherichia coli by fumarate respiration. Here, we determined whether C4-dicarboxylate metabolism as well as fumarate respiration contribute to colonization of the mammalian intestinal tract. Metabolite profiling revealed that the murine small intestine contained high and low levels of L-aspartate and L-malate, respectively, whereas fumarate was nearly absent. AbstractLEE-encoded effector EspF (EspF) is an effector protein part of enteropathogenic Escherichia coli’s (EPEC’s) arsenal for intestinal infection. This intrinsically disordered protein contains three highly conserved repeats which together compose over half of the protein’s complete amino acid sequence. EPEC uses EspF to hijack host proteins in order to promote infection. In the attack EspF is translocated, together with other effector proteins, to host cell via type III secretion system. International audience; Increasing the knowledge on dietary fat composition, mainly the minor components, will improve the nutritional value of foods and their labeling. In this study, we examined the trans-octadecenoic acid (C18:1) composition of Emmental cheeses enriched in unsaturated fatty acids (FA) and manufactured with milks produced by cows selected to produce small and large fat globules. The FA composition of the milks was not significantly (P > 0.05) different from the FA composition of the corresponding Emmental cheeses. Smiltsērķšu marafivīruss (SBuMV) ir iepriekš neraksturots, smiltsērkšķus inficējošs vīruss. Tam ir divas atklātās translācijas fāzes (ORF), kur ORF1 kodē poliproteīnu, kas satur četrus proteīnu domēnus, bet ORF2 kodē apvalka proteīnu (CP). Šajā darbā tika izveidotas ekspresijas plazmīdas SBuMV kodētajiem proteīniem, taču E. coli sistēmā izdevās ekspresēt un attīrīt tikai abas CP formas un proteāzes (PRO) domēnu. Tika pārbaudīta PRO aktivitāte, PRO šķelšanas saits un verificēta PRO deubikvitināzes (DUB) aktivitāte. Debido a su desconocida etiología, la búsqueda de nuevos tratamientos farmacológicos está enfocada a mejorar la calidad de vida de los pacientes y reducir la inflamación.
